Caitlin was watching television. She was channel hopping as nothing caught her attention. A figure on the screen caught her attention. She turned up the volume and listened to what he and the reports said

"Barry, your stables are famous all around the world. People come from all over the world, just to ride your horses. What's the reason for this?"

"I did this because I promised her, that when I made it big, I would dedicate it to her. She was my strength when times were tough and things were not going so well"

"Who is this person that you talk off?

"I won't mention her name, as we both like to keep our personal lives private. But she knows who she is"

"Where is this person that you talk of?"

"She got hurt recently and is in hospital recovering. All I want for her is to recover and then hurry back to me"

Caitlin dropped the remote in shock. The man, she was sure she had seen him somewhere before. She clutched her head. If only she could remember. She was having visions all the time. She didn't know what was real and what wasn't. Where her night dreams real? Where they what her doctor had said? Did she have repressed memories? If only she could remember. Was Barry the guy she dreamed about every night? If so, how had he fallen in love with her? I was really horrible to him she thought

"No doctor, we're taking her home"

"Try to understand. She's still having these night terrors. Here we can observe her and give her medicine. Who knows what would happen if you took her home?"

"No, we're taking her home. We're her parents. Surely we can look after her better"

"Take her if you want to. But if something happens, you can't blame us, because you ignored doctors advice"

"No, I'm staying here"

Caitlins parents looked at her

"I love you both, and I know that you only want what's best for me. But until we can figure this out, I'm staying here. I can be observed and if anything happens, I'm in the best place. I'll only come home, when I'm fully recovered"

"But Caitlin"

"I said no. I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you on this"

Caitlin was lying on her bed. She had hated arguing with her parents, but couldn't they see? She was in the best possible place. Imagine if she had gone home and something had happened? What then? She felt her eyelids shutting. It was time to meet him again

Caitlin was sitting on her bed. What had she done? She had been so caught up on ruining Barry, she hadn't thought it through. She wouldn't have blamed Barry, for leaving her there, but he came through for her. She would have died, or been severely injured if it hadn't been for him. She felt disgusted with herself. She quickly wrote Barry a letter

Barry

I don't know where to start. Just simply saying sorry doesn't seem enough. I was so caught up with everything, I failed to realise it could have cost you your life. I'm truly sorry. I didn't mean for it to go this far. Please forgive me

            Caitlin

Caitlin called down to her servant in the morning

"Make sure Barry gets this"

The servant went and saw Barry rebuilding his stables

"Barry sir, miss Caitlin told me to give you this"

"What is it?"

"A letter"

Barry turned around

"She comes here herself to do the damage, and yet sends someone else to apologise. I don't want to read this letter"

"So what should I do?"

"Tear it up and throw it away"

"Tear it up and throw it away? No sir, I can't do that"

Barry turned around

"Fine"

He grabbed the letter, tore it up and threw it away

"Problem solved"

The servant returned home. Caitlin was waiting for him

"What happened?"

"Barry sir was very angry. He didn't want to know. I offered to read the letter to him"

"Did he read it?"

"No miss, he tore it up and threw it away"

Caitlin marched to the stables. She stood in front of Barry

"Barry, are you still upset?"

Barry moved her out of the way. Caitlin ran up to him

"Look, I know I went to far. I wrote you a letter. I apologised"

Barry moved her out of the way again

"Barry" she yelled, pulling him down from the ladder he was climbing. Barry lost his balance and fell into the hay

"I'm sorry Barry, I ....." Caitlin began, before seeing something in Barry's front pocket.

Caitlin quickly pulled it out. It was her letter. Only now it had been sellotaped back together. Caitlin looked at Barry. Barry angrily grabbed the letter and stormed off. Caitlin smiled to herself. He had read it

Caitlin quickly got into her car, and followed Barry and his horse. They came to a stop and Barry, just stared at Caitlin. Caitlin looked at him, trying to express how sorry she was, by her face. Barry just looked at her, and rode off.  Caitlin spent the rest of the day, trying to find him, but nothing. Soon it was night time, and Caitlin was ready to go home, when she suddenly remembered something. She quickly drove to the bar and ran inside. She saw some people wrestling, and quickly got onto a table, for a better look. She saw two strangers but no Barry. She was upset, but looked around. She spotted Barry, sitting by the fireplace. She smiled and walked up to him. Barry looked up and saw her. They both just looked at each other

The next day, Caitlin was at the bus stop, waving her friends off, when she saw Barry, helping someone with their errands. She ran over to help, and Barry walked off. She chased after him

"Please talk to me Barry"

"What's the point?"

"I'm sorry"

"You've said that already. Now please go and move on with your life"

"But Barry I"

"Not interested"

Caitlin sighed in frustration. How was she going to get him to talk to her?

Duff duff duff. Oh no. What's Caitlin going to do? As always, feedback appreciated
