"I'm bored. I want to go home"

Caitlin had been in hospital for a few days, and was bored stiff, just lying about, doing nothing. She wondered what state the business was in. Her injuries were taking ages to heal

"Please let me go. I'm so bored"

"You know that we can't. You have to be better before we can let you go"

"Fine, but I need my stuff. I've already  lain around and done nothing for ages. I need to work"

"Caitlin stop complaining"

"I told you I'm not a good patient. Being back in hospital reminds me of a bad time in my life"

"I'm advising you not to do this"

"I'm just going to pop in for a few minutes. I'll  be back soon. Feel free to send someone with me if you want"

Caitlin hobbled into the office a few minutes later

"Sorry I haven't been in for a few days. As you can see, I had a bit of an accident. But thankfully I'm okay. Now please continue with your work"

Caitlin hobbled into her office and slowly sat down. Her hands were still a bit sore, after everything. She opened up her files, and started to work. Before she knew it, it was time to go back to the hospital. She grabbed some files and hobbled back to the hospital

"Caitlin, what is all of this? You shouldn't be working"

"I'm bored. I need to do something. I can't just lay around doing nothing"

"Darling, your lucky to be alive. Work can wait. Now rest up"

"But mum"

"But mum nothing. You need to rest, otherwise you'll never be alright"

Caitlin woke up in the middle of the night. She looked around but saw nothing. She looked down at her hand. She'd swear she felt pressure on it, as if someone was holding it. That was what had woken her up. But their was nothing or no one their. She was so stupid, she really thought that someone was visiting her secretly. But no one had been to see her, except her family. Not even Barry. Barry, who had been proclaiming his love for her a few days ago. Wow Barry she thought, was this the extent of your love? Was it just words, and just abandoning me in my hour of need? Granted you couldn't be there for me the first time, but this time? Who's stopping you? Or more importantly what?

Caitlin was sitting on her bed, doing her work when she had a visitor

"Hello stranger"

"Hi"

"What's this? You shouldn't be working"

"Ronnie, I'm bored. They won't let me do anything. I need to do something or I'll go out of my mind"

"Okay, come on. I'm taking you out"

Ronnie brought Caitlin a wheelchair and took her into the gardens. Caitlin smiled and breathed in the fresh air. It had been a while since she had been out, and considering she was lucky to be alive, she wanted to make every moment count. She breathed in the fresh air and smelled the roses. Being alive had never felt so good

"Ronnie, look over there. Did you see that?"

"What? I don't see anything"

"Nothing. I just thought I saw something"

"You've always had a vivid imagination. This is a new one. Now your imagining seeing people here"

Caitlin was asleep, when she felt it again. Someone was here. She felt someone squeezing her hand. She tried to open her eyes, and see who it was

"No, no. Don't get up. You need to rest", the person whispered

"Who are you?"

"I cant answer that. Just know I'll be always watching over you"

"Thank you for saving me. But at least let me see who you are"

"No. You need to rest. I'm always here, watching over you, so don't think that your ever alone"

Caitlin woke up in the morning, breathing heavily. She looked around, she hadn't dreamt them coming, she was sure of it. She could still feel their hand on hers. She looked around and saw a red rose on the chair. She quickly grabbed it, and held it. So she hadn't been dreaming. Someone had been here. But who? She took the rose and put it in a vase. She loved roses. She hoped that they would come again, whilst she was here, so she could have more roses

"Thank you for the roses. They're my favourite. How did you know?"

"I told you that I'm always watching over you. So I know everything about you"

"Then why won't you let me see your face?"

"I'll show myself to you another time"

"But how can I thank you? You saved my life and have been visiting me every night secretly"

"Just live for you, and do what makes you happy. That's all I ask"

"What about if I need you in the future?"

"Just close your eyes and think of me. I'll reach there"

"Promise?"

"Pinky promise"

Duff duff duff. Any ideas who's visiting her? As always, feedback appreciated
