"Remember Caitlin, we love each other. Nothing will ever separate us. Your stuck with me now"

"Really? That's good. I've kind of gotten used to you now"

"Me too. I guess that we are stuck with each other. I mean, who else is going to take us?"

"Well it's a good thing that we love each other, isn't it Barry?"

Barry said nothing. Just lay on top of her, and covered her mouth with his. Caitlin kissed him back, with as much hunger as his, and wrapped her arms around his neck. They were very happy and Caitlin hoped that nothing would ever happen to ruin it

Caitlin opened her eyes and looked at the river. She was at their meeting place. She had unconsciously gone there, after a long, hard day at work. She just needed something familiar and some comfort

"Caitlin"

Caitlin froze. Out of everything and everyone, why was he here? Caitlin began walking away, but he stopped her by standing in her way

"I need to go. Please move"

"No. Not until you listen to me"

"There's nothing to listen to. You have made your choice. You've moved on. Hopefully I will to"

"Then why are you at our place?"

"I needed closure. I'm saying goodbye to us"

"Don't be like that"

"Like what? Your the one who forced me to be this way. I came here for us, but I didn't realise that your not mine anymore. I was naive. But don't worry, I'll grow up and won't get in the way of your happiness"

"Caitlin"

"No, don't touch me. You haven't got that right anymore"

Caitlin climbed their horse, and galloped away. Barry watched her go. He smiled, she still loved him, no matter what she said. That's why she was so angry. But how was he going to fix this? He just wanted to take her in his arms and tell her how much he still loved her

Caitlin wiped her tears, as she rode. She just wished it didn't hurt so much. If he wanted to move on with his life, he had the right to do so, but why did it hurt her so much? Every time she saw him, she felt like her soul was dying. She didn't realise that losing your first love would hurt like this. She had foolishly believed that they were one, and that they would be together forever and run the stables for life. Well the stables were hers now. She would do anything and everything to save them. She had invested too much to let them fail. Not only that, she had fallen in love with the land, the horses, and the area.  She wished that she hadn't fallen so deeply in love with Barry. Every day without him was torture. She felt like a piece of her was missing. Why was this happening to her?

She got off the horse, and tied him up. She stroked him

"Look after him for me, won't you?"

Caitlin walked around and saw that all the horses were tied up and drinking their water. She smiled as she remembered what she had done, many years ago, and how she would have been killed or hurt, had it not been for Barry. She just wished that she could go back to that time again, when she was young and innocent. When she didn't realise that Barry, who was her biggest enemy, would become the guy she fell in love with, after he saved her.

"Oh Barry. Look what your love has done to me and my life"

The next day, Caitlin was busy working when Joe burst into her office

"Excuse me, what do you think that you are doing?"

"I heard that they said that you were back. I had to see it for myself"

"Well now you've seen me. Please leave. Before I call security"

"You couldn't leave him alone, could you? Leave him alone. He's engaged. He's very happy"

"I don't want your son. I am the majority shareholder in this business. This is my business. I'm back for what's mine"

Joe looked at her shocked

"Oh, did you not know? Your son gave me the most shares. So it's mine"

"Liar"

"Don't use that tone with me. Your in my office, show some respect. As for not believing me, I really can't do anything about that. I suggest that you ask your son about it. He will confirm that I'm telling the truth. So if you would like a say in how things are run, you better change your attitude. Like I said before, I want a friendly environment and anyone who goes against that is out"

"You've changed"

"No. I've grown up. I know what I want, and I'm focused on it. Im not the Caitlin that you knew"

"Stay away from my son. You might have got this business. But you won't get him again"

"I don't want him. Now please leave. Before I do or say something that I regret"

Caitlin sank into her chair. What was she going to do? Why was everyone making this so difficult for her?
