(Carla's POV)
Going past the old junk and broken memories just like before from this early morning going for one of the far forgotten back corners of the basement. Finding an old dusted key panel with different numbers, letters, and dots a multi-language key panel with all of the languages I knew, a code I made with all of the parts I had laying around things I'd be giving to Clotilda someday. Hearing the airlock let go and the pressure release to open me into a clean pure white lab with parts of machines and files laying around the almost perfectly cleaned out room. Pushing the heavy door wider as I walked into the room looking for a specific cabinet that had what I needed, the others following in toe watching me. Probably waiting for me to say something after seeing this too scared to touch my things after upsetting me already and seeing what I could do to things I truly loved. Knowing I'd destroyed one of my biggest achievements the case that showed off a good amount of my awards and victors just to be destroyed it was almost unthinkable for me to do that.'Even I fell for that illusion for what, to see what others saw of me not just the creation of that man.'I thought as looking for one of the missing parts bumping and having one of my tables a little phone with a big S logo on the back fell and hit the floor face down. Showing me in a blue hue as it started me sitting in my office showed hovering over the metal piece on the floor."This is another one of these videos even though it's just a prototype I think it's almost time to release them to the public as a fully formed produced 'mini phone' is what the others keep calling it. The only problem though, hitting or it falling of different surfaces makes the video system start the last video or start recording even both at once."Staring at the 'mini phone' as I said in the short video before ending it grabbing it off the floor looking at the others."You helped make those, what is up with you having all these secrets. First, you destroyed one of your biggest gloating privities. Second, you worked for a government official force for years, then you have this big lab, and you help make one of the most successful devices in the last 10 years and you told no one."Maud seemed upset not knowing so much about me even after the last 12-15 years we lived together and knew each other."Do still not trust me with knowing more of your past or personal life even after everything, you still are hiding things. I know it's hard for you to share but I feel like you keep backtracking on everything when we got to a point when there were no secrets between all of us, and then you had more secrets and I know its important for you to keep working and family separate but there's also a difference between separating us from it all and shutting us out."She seemed to grow almost anxious overthinking everything about how I felt again, and when I went to comfort her, she pulled away looking like she didn't know how to feel but some of the feelings were obvious, there was guilt, anxiousness, and maybe even betrayal.
(Maud, POV)
As mourning came I knew today was going to be a slow day but just as I was going to get up my room door basically slammed open."Maud, get up it's time for breakfast and I have school in two hours so!" Clotilda said energetically looking as if at any moment she would jump into my bed and pull me out to take me with her, lightly jumping while standing in my doorway waiting. Finally getting out of my warm cozy bed my pile of blankets moved into an almost nest-like shape as I dragged myself to the closet pulling out a fluffy gray robe that hung neatly on a hook. Rapping up my tall figure my dark brown hair hit the gray fabric as I followed her out the room closing the door to smell pancakes, bacon, maybe potatoes if my nose doesn't deceive me. Going into the living room as the smells grew going for the door that separated the rooms thinking I'd see Carla only to see Polina cleaning the used dishes, table set with breakfast foods and drinks as she turned my way she could see I was confused by her only being in the room."Oh hey, I woke up early and just wanted to help out since I'm staying for a while. Carla's seemed down so I wanted to make her and you guys breakfast I hope you don't mind me using your kitchen before asking. It was supposed to be a surprise but this one caught me." She said turning to Clotilda as she just giggled going to the table, the sound of footsteps could be heard as the door opened presenting Scarlett fully ready, hair done, light make-up, and in uniform."Hey, so we're all up before Carla good It's about 6:30 Clotilda has almost 2 in half hours before she has to go so we have time." After going over the house, eating breakfast, soon Clotilda was on her way out the door at 7:37 Scarlett driving her. Soon after she left maybe 15-20min later my phone rang and I looked down at the small glass and party metal phone. Seeing the name Kendal show up a picture of her and me her arm around my neck me crouching from when we first met when she insisted we needed a picture to 'savor the moment.'She is a kind person just to all over the place like the others there's only so much I can take. I love having so many lively people around because I know that I could never give as much by they don't mind putting in what I can't and meeting halfway.'Just like how Carla always is but lately, she hasn't been giving much and I don't think it's right to push.'I thought as I answered the phone her voice rang through the house even having Polina step back from the sound, I started wondering if Carla had heard or even woken by it but now knowing she could probably sleep through a storm it's unlikely."Hey you're awake for once, on caller ID it says your sister's phone is on silent usually it's on vibrate, so since she won't be able to get what I need could you please go into the basement I just need some tools I let your sister use also a small sun-powered generator. If you can find it by the time I'm there I could give you some little kisses."Before I could say anything back she hung up Polina looking surprised before laughing her head off, I didn't trust that I could put my ear to the phone so I put it on the speaker which was worse. I turned away feeling somewhat embarrassed about the stunt she had just pulled, I told her about this to me it's just mindless teasing always."Hooo, so you have a little admire. How cute I never knew your type good for you Maud get sum."She said light hitting my back lightly with another laughs as I probably sat there turning more than 50 shades of red. Turning away brushing off her comments going to get the key from my room.'I think I left it inside the glowing owl clock in the corner with my other thing since my room is such a"mess" as Carla puts it. Going to get it as Polina stops laughing going for my hand seeing as I was upset trying to calm me down thinking it would work. But before she could grab me by the arm I grab her arm and kind of threw her in a way out of surprise, I've got used to the other just going in for a hug when they upset me. Holding me close rubbing my back telling me they were 'Sorry, and they can make it up to me, it will never happen again.' It's easier that way I don't really like to read into others more than I need to but it's always easier than to read myself so that's that. I turned around feeling horrible going to help off the floor as she lights dusted her hands off after using them to catch herself as she fell on her back, looking surprised she seemed like she wanted to say something."So what's next."
