A/N: I want to add that whenever I use a photo for an outfit or suit...I'm not saying you have to look like that. I am just using the outfit, not the person in it. Everyone is beautiful no matter what shape, size, or color. And I'll admit I do too many stories based on lighter skin tones and that's wrong of me, I often don't think about it at first and just write the story. I spent hours getting ready, I did my hair perfectly and I had the perfect dress for the weather. I grab my purse and put Stephen's present inside, I then rush over to my window to see him waiting outside.
Stephen looked very handsome, and looked like he was loaded with cash. He was wearing an expensive suit, with his usual thousand dollar watch. His hair was combed back and I could tell he had freshly shaven his face.
His face lights up as soon as I walk up to him. "Miss L/N...don't you look gorgeous." He grabs my hand and slowly spins me so he can see all of me.
"Your looking pretty great yourself Mr Strange." I lean up to kiss him.
"I'm tempted to throw you over my shoulder and take you back upstairs." He kisses my cheek.
"We have reservations for the birthday boy."
"The birthday boy wants you out of this dress." He pouts.
"Later...Happy Birthday Stephen." I say softly.
"Thank you." He steps back and opens the car door for me.
The restaurant looked even better and fancier in person, I was very impressed on how everything looked. I liked seeing others all dressed up.
Stephen couldn't stop smiling after we ordered our food, I loved seeing him so happy. "Thank you again Y/N...this date is wonderful."
"Oh so we are going on dates now?" I smile playfully.
"You've earned it."
"I hear you have a speech to give next week. Are you nervous?" I look up as our food arrives.
"Not at all. I just need to pick the right suit."
"I could help you pick it." I suggest.
He stares at me for a moment. "I'd like that.....you could also join me."
"Really?"
"Yeah, why not?" He grabs my hand.
"Wait....I did get you something for your birthday...." I pull out a small box and slide it over. He smiles as he takes out a watch. "Turn it over." I point.
He reads the engraving. "All that you are, is all that I'll ever need. -Y/N."
"I know you like your watches..." I rest my head in my hands.
"It's lovely...thank you." He smiles.
I could tell something was wrong....maybe the gift was too sentimental for him, he doesn't receive gifts like these.
