520 [Yanfei & Hu tao]

Chap 9: Beach

They went somewhere where it was nice. The place wasn't too humid and the sun just looked beautiful from where they were. They sat on the sand and admired the horizon together. It was silent between them. They did not exchange any words to each other. It was very peaceful. After awhile, Yanfei went to glance at Hu Tao who was still looking at the sunset.

Yanfei looked at Hu Tao in awe. She looked so pretty. The sunlight made Hu Tao eyes stand out. It was glowing and Hu Tao became like the prettiest person Yanfei have ever seen. She was just staring at Hu Tao. It felt like there was only two of them left in the world and they are just spending every second together. The urge to caress Hu Tao cheek and possibly kiss it. She wanted to be with Hu Tao forever. she's so pretty...

Hu Tao noticed that Yanfei was staring at her so she waved infront of Yanfei face.

"Hello are you there?" Hu Tao asked. That startled Yanfei a little. Her face heated up and looked away and pouted a little.

"Ah.. yes i'm here. Sorry" Yanfei said sheepishly. Hu Tao just nodded and went back to admiring.

That's so embarrassing... Yanfei thought to herself silently as she bite her inner lip from nervousness. She looked back at Hu Tao and her eyes softened again.

Ah shit. I'm in love with her...

It was already 7pm. It was later already. They both then left the beach and went back home. They walked back home. It was rather quiet because both were exhausted. Their arms were touching the whole time. All Yanfei wanted to do was hold Hu Tao hands. It was so near hers, she can just intertwined her fingers with hers but she was just too afraid. She also doubted that maybe Hu Tao had already fallen out of love. It's been months since Hu Tao confession anyway. Feelings can't be controlled. If Hu Tao really did fall out of love, Yanfei need to accept that fact and go along with it.

Is now or never Yanfei.. Yanfei thought to herself as she looked at Hu Tao hands once again. She slowly intertwined her fingers with Hu Taos. She expected a reaction from Hu Tao but Hu Tao seemed to not mind it..? Hu Tao noticed the hands that was intertwining with hers but instead of resisting it, she allowed Yanfei warms hands to melt into hers.

*Ring ring* Yanfei phone rang and Yanfei immediate reaction was to let go of Hu Tao hands. She slipped her hands into her pocket and took out her phone. She checked who was calling her. It was a her mother.

"Hello? Mom do you need anything?" Yanfei asked. Hu Tao looked at Yanfei with curiosity all over her face. Hu Tao looking at Yanfei kinda made Yanfei panicked a little. She tried her best not to notice or look at Hu Tao but she failed anyway.

"Oh i was just asking where you are? Is already 7.15pm" Yanfei mother asked. Hu Tao could hear the conversation as well.

"Ah yes we are walking back home right. We will be back as soon as possible" Yanfei reassured her mother. Yanfei mother then said to stay safe and hung up on them. Yanfei went to explain why her mother called her and they both continued walking back home.

It was awkward? No one was talking. They were also a bit more further apart this time. Hu Tao was walking ahead of Yanfei whereas Yanfei, she was taking her sweet time. She felt weird standing beside Hu Tao. After whatever just happened where Yanfei held Hu Tao hands etc, it felt awkward. Yanfei had no idea what Hu Tao was feeling at that moment. Yanfei did not want to know either. It could be a good or bad reaction and if it was bad, she does not want to know at all. Hu Tao does not seem to mind or notice anything weird when Yanfei was walking behind her so she did not asked why she was walking a bit more slower than usual.

When they finally reached back home, Yanfei went to unlock the doors and both entered the house. They slipped off their slippers and the first thing they did was to greet Yanfei parents. Yanfei called out from the front door that they have reached back home and her parents acknowledge it.

"Hu Tao i'm gonna go shower first" Yanfei told Hu Tao as she placed her bags on the floor. Hu Tao nodded and Yanfei went to the bathroom and started to wash herself. Hu Tao went to the kitchen to get some drinks for herself. She sat on the kitchen isle stool and waited patiently until Yanfei was done.

While Yanfei was showering, all those stupid overthinking thoughts flooded her mind. It was a habit of hers. She had nothing distracting her right now so it was just her alone in this small humid room rethinking all her decisions.

I really want to know how Hu Tao feels about me right now.. Yanfei thought to herself. Yanfei realised she had fallen hard for this girl. Being with Hu Tao felt nice and so right. It felt like it was meant to be. Meant to be or not she just wants to be with Hu Tao forever and that's indeed something she only wants.

"Hu Tao i'm done" Yanfei shouted from the bathroom and she started to unlock the door to leave. Hu Tao heard that and immediately took her towel and clothes the the bathroom. The both walked past each other and Hu Tao went to shower. Nothing happened between the two of them that night.

Both went to sleep early due to how exhausted they were. They said goodnight to each other and went to sleep. It was a peaceful day alone just the two of them. The two girls loved that day.
