The next morning Ariella and Spencer were up before the doctor came
"Ariella I want you to meet Mrs. Aveline, she got us away from dad and we won't ever have to go back there" Spencer said.
"Hi" I said waving to her and giving her a big smile. Ariella hid behind Spencer, barely peaking her head out
"Say hi ariella, you don't have be scared" Spencer said squatting down
"Hi" Ariella said peaking her ahead from behind spencer
"Hi, so what do you guys want for breakfast" I asked
"We can make our own breakfast, don't worry" Spencer said which I waved him away "no I got it, don't worry. Now do you guys like waffles?" I asked
"Yeah" he said. He say Ariella down and he insisted on helping but I told him to leave my kitchen and go watch tv. I finished making waffles and cut up some fruit and got poured some orange juice
"Breakfast is ready" I said
"Thank you so much Mrs. Aveline" Spencer said
"Please call me Alexis" I said
"No, that seems so informal since you're Elijah's mom" he said
"Fine, how about miss Alexis if that makes you feel better about it" I replied
"Ok, Miss Alexis" he said. He helped Ariella eat her waffles then started eating his. The doorbell rang and I see it is the doctor through the cameras. I opened the door and let her in. It was Jenna because I know they would be more comfortable with a pediatrician
"Spencer, Ariella this is Dr. Jenna my best friend who is a pediatrician. All of my kids go to her and will be do a check up" I said
"Hi" Spencer said
"Hi I'm dr. Jenna" Jenna said
"I'm Spencer" he replied
"And who is this little girl?" She asked squatting down looking at the shy little girl hiding behind her big brother
"This is Ariella" Spencer said pushing Ariella forward
"Hi ariella" Jenna said. We moved towards the family room and Jenna set up her stuff there
"I'm gonna start with ariella first if that's okay with you" Jenna asked Spencer
"Yeah" he replied
"Ariella do you like Moana?" Jenna asked
"Yes" she exclaimed jumping up and down
"Do you want to see my Moana stickers?" I asked
"Yes" she replied happily. While Ariella was busy Jenna did her checkup routine and she said she looks okay but we would have to go to her office for a full work up. She looks malnourished and Spencer told me the only shots she got was 2 years ago.
"Ok Ariella you're all done" Jenna said
"Ok" she said playing with the Moana stickers
"So Spencer any pain?" Jenna asked
"On my leg" He said
"Can you show me?" She asked
"Yeah" he replied
He pulled his shorts up and peeled the bandaid off, showing Jenna his cut.
"Ok, it looks pretty deep so I will need to do stitches. How did you get the injury?" She asked. Spencer explained the injury and continued the check up. I called Lucas to tell him that I'm taking them to the hospital for Spencer stitches and X-ray and then Ariellas shots.
