chapter 8.

Just like last time she gives up and walks back.
„Okay. I don't know where to go anyway."

They both get inside the car and she's sitting on the passenger seat.

Minutes pass and awkward silence fills the car when he finally decides to break it.

„So, where's your ex?", he asks.
Mina raises an eyebrow at the sudden random question.
„I don't know? What kind of question is that?",
she asks rhetorically.

„What else do you want me to ask?", he asks with an attitude and looks at her expecting an answer.
„Do you even know my name? I know your name is Heeseung but I don't remember you asking for mine.", she responds.

„What's your name then?"
„Mina."

Suddenly her phone rings and she quickly reaches for it.

„Jay.", Mina automatically lets out the name of the person calling in which Heeseung reacts weirdly fast to.

„Give it to me.", he reaches out his hand waiting for her to give her phone to him.

„What?"

„Give me your phone!", he slightly raises his voice and Mina hands him your phone that's still ringing. Heeseung picks it up and puts it to his ear, now driving the car with one hand, eyes glued to the road.

It's very quiet until she hears Jay's voice on the other side.

„Mina, you finally picked up. Where are you?",
he immediately asks with a worried voice.
Heeseung doesn't reply but she sees him silently laughing. Jay can't hear a thing.

„Mina? Can you hear me?", Mina hears Jay ask.

„What do you want?", Heeseung finally says something.

She hears Jay's tone change immediately after hearing the male voice come from his phone.
„Who is this?", he lets out a deep sigh after asking.

„Your girl is in my car.", clearly trying to start an argument, he lets out the most random and useless fact to create rumors.

Angrily she rips the phone off his hand with furrowed eyebrows and starts talking to Jay.
„I'm not. Well, I am, but something came up so he drove me home.", she quickly explains herself. Which she doesn't even have to but she still does.

„What came up?", Jay's curiosity clearly shows.
Without thinking Mina starts telling what had happened.
„When I got home the police-"

She gets cut off by Heeseung quickly covering her mouth with his hand which creates a slight slapping sound. His reaction makes her realize what she had done and she hangs up without thinking twice.

„Why the hell did you mention the police?", Heeseung yells. Not mad, but disappointed.

„I don't know, I wasn't thinking straight.", she responds. She's mad at yourself and wants to put her phone in her bag when she gets a notification from Jay.

why did you hang up? did he just hit you?

Mina sighs at his stupid way of thinking negatively and texts back.

no he didn't.
