Chapter 17: It's Just a Sweater

Nick was in the studio working on a new song when the twins came in.

Riley: Nick, tell Mads to stop stealing my clothes
Mads: I did not steal your clothes.
Riley: yeah you did. I have the same sweater
Mads: maybe because we're twins
Riley: we haven't dressed alike in forever
Nick: girls! I'm busy right now, can you argue in front of Joe
Riley: Joe's not here
Nick: where did he go?
Mads: something about a meeting for DNCE whatever
Riley: I heard him saying something about planning a project for a reunion tour or something
Nick: reunion tour?
Riley: yeah, anyways. Would you tell this one to stop stealing
Nick: Mads, you know the rules no touching other people belonging without their permission
Mads: but I didn't! We have the same sweater
Riley: alright prove it. I put all my clothes with my initials, let's look at the tag
Mads: what! You're crazy
Riley: if you got nothing to hide show me the tag Mads
Mads: no

Riley went to see but Mads smack her hand away. Riley shoved her and Mads shoved her back a little too hard making Nick's drink fall over.

Nick: girls...
Twins: *points at each other* she started it
Nick: I don't care who started it, you're both in trouble. What are the rules about fighting?
Twins: *frowns* no fighting
Nick: help me clean this up and go to my room and both of you go find a corner to stand on. You're both in time out
Mads: Nick we are 12, we are old to old for a time out now

Nick gave her a look and the girls quickly went to find something to help Nick clean up the mess.

Nick entered the room to find that both girls were each facing the corner.

Nick: times up girls, now have you learned your lesson
Twins: yes Nick
Nick: good. I don't want to hear a peep out of both of you until I'm done with my work *leaves*
Riley: we wouldn't be in this mess if you hadn't taken my sweaters
Mads: for the million time I didn't take it!
Riley: then why don't you just show me
Nick: are you two fighting!
Twins: uh... no sir!
Riley: *mumbles* not yet
Nick: keep it down, or my belt is coming off!
Mads: great you just made Nick threaten us with the belt
Riley: not my fault you wouldn't give me my sweaters
Mads: I didn't take it!
Riley: then show me!
Nick: do I need to come in there?
Twins: no!
Mads: leave me alone Riley!

Riley grabbed Mads by the neck when she tried to leave and Mads hits her.

Riley: ow!

Riley hit her back and the two started rolling around the ground fighting.

Riley: give me my sweater!
Mads: no!
Riley: *checks tag* ha you did steal my sweaters, my initial are right here! Give it back!
Mads: no its mine!
Riley: no it's not! Its my new sweater that I never worn yet
Mads: whats the big deal you always let me borrow your clothes!
Riley: cause you always asked for permission! I never allow you to!

Mads eyes widen when she saw Nick had entered and started to unbuckle his belt and she immediately rolled on her back when she saw Nick had stormed in and saw them fighting.

Nick immediately whack Riley with the belt while she had Mads pinned on the ground. Riley wasn't expecting it and tried to rolled over but another one came crashing down on her butt again, and again making her yelp.

Nick: go a head fight your sister, see what happens. Go on, Madison you want to fight your sister, turn over
Mads: *shakes head* no sir
Nick: Riley get up
Riley: I'm okay

Nick pulled her over on her stomach. Pulled her shorts and underwear down to her ankles and quickly gave her 5 stripes with the belt to her backside making her yelp and wiggle.

Nick stopped what he was doing before switching over to Riley and he did the same to Mads that he did with Riley  while they were both laying on the ground because they were covering their ass from the belt. They was no hiding or escaping the belt.

Nick: you two no the rules about fighting in the house. Wanna fight some more, go ahead. Riley you seem fired up continued what you were doing
Riley: *tries to scoot away* I'm okay
Nick: no I don't think so little girl *grabs her legs again and continues bringing the belt down again

Riley cried out and started whimpering, she never received the belt before and it definitely hurts her henie.

Nick: you wanna fight your sister *whack*
Riley: no sir, ahh! Okay, okay! Nick pleaseee
Nick: *stop spanking Riley and move on to Mads* this fighting ends now between you two. I want whatever you two had stolen from each other to give it back to each other so this doesn't happened again
Mads: okay, okay, ow! Yes sir we will we promise!
Nick: now I want you to hug it out *whack* and go do your chores *whack* do you understand me?
Mads: *squeals* yes sir!
Riley: yes sir

Nick dropped the belt and the girls hugged each other sobbing and said sorry to each other. Before Nick hugged them both and told each of them that he loved them and that he hated doing that to them. But he hates when they fight more.

Chapter End Notes:
I had a similar experience happened but it was between my sister and my cousin because my cousin was super mean back in the day and my sister defended me when she came after me and they both got in trouble for fighting in the house, so basically that's where I got this from. There was no fighting in a Haitian household ever after that.
