You woke up the next morning sprawled across a few dusty cushions with Sun laying on top of you, he had his arms crossed and resting on your chest and his face buried in your stomach, he swung his feet back and forth in the air as he happily hummed the tune to 'you are my sunshine' and you tried your best to pretend you were still asleep to stay like this for a little while longer but you couldn't help but giggle quietly, Sun would quickly sit up off of you causing you to pout and stretch your arms out towards him "gooood morning!" He chirped "noooo I'm not awake yet come baaaacckkk" you replied jokingly before sitting up and leaning against Sun's chest, holding his hand gently and leaning up to kiss his cheek "good morning Sunny" you mumbled, continuing to rest against him for a moment longer before prying yourself away as you heard someone shouting in the daycare, you stretched with a sigh before heading out onto the platform to look down at whoever was shouting, it was that employee again and they were carrying a box "hey! Parts are here!" They shouted "just leave it on the desk, I'll be down in a minute!" You replied, rubbing your eyes tiredly before heading back into the room where Sun was already standing by the door "looks like the parts are here on time" you said as you climbed down from the platform and jogged over to Sun, grabbing his arm as he headed out of the room and back down the hallway, through the theater, and back into the daycare where you grabbed the box off of the desk and opened it, making sure everything was there and beckoning for Sun to follow you as you imeadiatly turned and headed out of the daycare and to the elevator, Sun held onto your shoulder as he followed you since your arms were occupied with carrying the box which you set down once you got to the secondary service room "you don't have to put me into shutdown do you?" Sun asked as he got onto the work bench and took his own chest plate off, watching you organize the parts on the table "nah, not for this, I might need to whenever I go to hook moon back up cause I wanna take a look at his memory card to see if it's burnt or something, obviously I wouldn't be able to fix it since memory cards are unique and if it's broken the data is probably lost but at least you'd have an answer to what exactly happened y'know" you replied, setting the now empty box on the floor and turning towards Sun "I see you remembered how to take your chest plate off" you said with a chuckle "I need to access your legs too though, that's where all the new parts are going remember" you added "you're saying I have to take my pants off again?" Sun questioned, you nodded, earning a sigh from the animatronic "fine" he muttered "if I was just going for efficiency I'd put the tanks on your back but I'm putting them on your legs because you've already got a lotta robot junk hanging out on your back and I don't wanna add to that, no one's gonna see them on your legs" you explained, pulling over a stepping stool and sitting on it as you took the plating off of Sun's legs and attached the tanks and pumps to his endo before covering them up with custom plating and tossing the old plating into the box which still sat on the floor, finally attaching a long piece of flexible tubing to each pump before moving back away from Sun to give him space "okay stand up" you said, he did as he was told and you fed the tubes up through his hip joints and into his chest cavity where you began to wrap them around and between all of his inner workings which caused him to squirm quite a bit, letting out an occasional stifled giggle or squeak as he tried his best to stay both as still as possible and as quiet as possible so that you could focus though that clearly wasn't going well for him "it's kind of funny to hear you laughing while I'm rooting around in your inside y'know, if I did this to a human they definitely wouldn't be laughing" you said with a slight chuckle before thinking for a moment "do you actually have any pain receptors?" You asked "yes of course but they only respond to things that could actually hurt me, like electric shocks or something actually breaking" Sun explained "yeah that makes sense" you mumbled, finally feeding the tubes back through his hips and hooking them to the pumps "aaaand done!, just gotta fill them up with water and see if they work" you said "really? That was so fast" Sun replied as you grabbed a bottle of distilled water from under the table, filling up the tanks and finally connecting the pumps to his power source, there was an imeadiate hiss as the system purged some air before starting to work , causing Sun to shudder suddenly "oh- that's really cold" he said as you checked all of the connections for leaks before finally reattaching his chest plate "well hopefully you get used to it, it'll help a lot when you start overheating" you said, pulling his pants back up an fastening the Velcro before hugging him quickly and stepping back to make sure the tanks weren't visible "look at that, can't even tell the difference" you said, somewhat proud of yourself as you swept the spare parts off of the table and back into the box before placing the box on a shelf and holding your hand out towards Sun, he took your hand quickly and walked with you back to the daycare "hey y/n, when did you plan on hooking Moon back up?" Sun questioned as you walked "whenever you say I can" you replied, stepping into the daycare and sitting on one of the oversized foam blocks, kissing the back of Sun's hand before letting go of it "you can" Sun said, sitting on the floor in front of you "like now?" You asked "I suppose" Sun answered, you quickly grabbed your tool kit and motioned for Sun to come closer which he did "turn around" you instructed, Sun turned his back to you, resting back against your legs and tilting his head forward slightly so that you could see what you were doing better, you switched him into shutdown and started to take apart his head which consisted of one circuit board, two ai chips, and two memory cards, you checked both of the memory cards and found nothing physically wrong with them, simply making sure they were both firmly in place before starting to look over Moons ai chip to make sure all of the connections were in tact, freezing as you turned the chip over in your hand and felt something break off of it, "shit" you muttered as you looked at the piece which had broken off, it was a small circular black piece with thin metal hooks on its base to attatch it to the chip but there was no sign it had been welded on like most pieces were and you couldn't find the spot it had broken off of, you placed the tiny part into your pocket to not lose it as you compared moon's chip to Sun's in hopes it would give you some idea of where the piece went but there was nothing like it on Sun's chip either, after much debate you simply put everything back together without the part and dug the cord out of Sun's torso to plug Moon back in, finally taking the bot out of shutdown, he wasn't nearly as surprised this time, only jumping slightly before quickly turning to face you, looking up at you expectantly to hear if you'd found anything "well?" He asked
