You weren't certain when you'd dozed off but you woke up to the door of the charging station being rammed into your back as someone attempted to open it.
your mind felt fuzzy and your vision was blurred as your eyes shot open and you pushed back against the door, forcing it back shut with a click that you could barely hear over the horrid ringing in your ears, you glared up at whoever stood over you, being greeted only by a pair of large cartoonish red eyes and the outline of tall rabbit ears, the thing reached for the door again and you pushed back harder, struggling to speak for a while before managing to force out a sharp scream "LEAVE THEM ALONE"

Your eyes shot open to a well lit room and the sound of a concerned animatronic "y/n? You didn't go home last night? That can't possibly be comfortable" Sun said, looking down at you from within the charging station, he was right, it wasn't, you were laying on your side on a concrete floor with sore joints and a splitting migraine but you slowly managed to push yourself up and away from the door allowing Sun to open it and get out of the charging station "yeah...uh....yeah I decided to stay a while and make sure everything went over alright y'know...guess I kinda dozed off..." You muttered though you felt more like you'd gone five rounds with a professional wrestler as opposed to just sleeping on a concrete floor, Sun was quick to help you up but you stumbled and fell against him, holding tightly to him even though he was already holding you up, then you were carefully lifted up into his arms as he brought you out into the daycare and then to one of the supply closets, you didn't really pay attention to what he was doing, instead burying your face against his chest and wrapping your arms around his neck "what ever happened to taking care of yourself" he muttered, sitting and placing you in his lap before finally handing you a bottle of water and starting to rub your shoulders which you wouldn't deny felt like heaven to your sore body "I'm sorry...I just got worried y'know...you're so vulnerable when you're charging" you replied, humming quietly and leaning back into him a bit "I don't understand how you could sleep like that, no blanket or anything you must've been freezing" he muttered
"I dunno either...had a weird dream though...some evil-lookin rabbit thing was trying to get at you" you grumbled with a low chuckle, Sun paused for a moment "hm...that's weird" he sounded somewhat uncomfortable at the subject "I did say it was" you replied, looking back at him "dreams tend to be"
"No not that, a lot of my bad dreams have rabbits in them too...weird coincidence I guess..." He explained, you slowly nodded "what's the rabbit in your dreams look like?" You asked curiously, Sun thought for a minute "ummm well there's two really but one of them is always reeeeally far away or just...blurry?.. I don't know what they look like..but the other one iiiisss...white I think...with big big red eyes"
"Huh...weird...the rabbit in my dream had big red eyes too...that's about all I saw though, the room was dark" you explained "weird..." Sun agreed
It was quiet for a while as you sipped your bottle of water and leaned against Sun's chest lazily, listening to that same low rumble you'd heard the previous morning, finally the silence would be broken by the sound of the doors up in the daycare entryway opening causing you to yank your phone out of your pocket to check the time, quickly jumping up and scrambling to collect yourself "I've gotta go clock in I'll see you later Sunny" you said, giving the animatronic a quick kiss and dashing out of the room before he really had time to respond.
You skidded to a halt at the front desk and quickly clocked in, raking a hand through your mangled hair and nearly jumping out of your skin when you looked up to see Vanessa leaning entirely too close to you from the opposite side of the desk "was wondering where you were" she assessed you with a gaze that seemed vaguely disgusted "you look like crap"
You scoffed under your breath as you straightened your dirt-smudged uniform shirt to the best of your ability "yeah thanks" you muttered as you turned to walk away only to have something brightly colored shoved into your face "I'm supposed to give this to you"
you took the item and held it out at a distance where you could actually see what it was, one of those watches your coworker had been telling you about "oh, uh.. thanks" you replied, trying to sound more genuine this time
"Don't lose it, don't fool around on it, don't take it home, leave it in your locker at the end of your shift" Vanessa instructed sternly, you simply nodded and finally walked to your locker to retrieve your bag and tool belt so that you could begin your shift
