You ended up waiting until the pizzaplex had opened to begin working on the room which definitely hadn't been the plan But it would work out regardless, hopefully the noise of you working wouldn't be too disruptive down in the daycare
You focused In on the first order of business which was the ceiling...or rather lack thereof, you used a staple gun and a great deal of determination to pin a blanket with glow in the dark stars on it to the tops of the walls, stretching the fabric to cover what remained of the nonexistent ceiling, not an easy feat since you hadn't brought a stepping stool.
while it wasn't much of a solution and it certainly wasn't perfect, it did look a bit nicer, next, after a great deal of struggling you managed to shove the arcade cabinet to sit flush in the corner to take up a bit less space before moving the mat of old cushions and inflating the air mattress, covering it with a blanket and tossing the cushions onto it along with another blanket and finally finishing it off with the teddy bear you'd bought for Moon.
Then your attention turned to the rest of the room, you hung some more fairy lights and rolled a small rug out on the floor before stepping back to look at your work, it seemed more comfortable at the least but it wasn't much and you wished that you could do more though that wasn't exactly reasonable on your budget however you could certainly make it better over time and that thought made you happy.
The lights shut off for nap time as if on queue, letting you know that the shift was nearly over and the daycare attendant would be going to their charging station soon, that thought was a bit upsetting on account of what had happened last time they charged, the idea of leaving them alone didn't sit well with you, possibilities looping through your mind as you made your way down to the daycare and approached Moon who was on the floor reading a story to a few of the more restless kids, you weren't certain why, maybe because your mind was occupied, but you leaned down and kissed him on the cheek without a second thought "hey Moon" you mumbled only realizing what you'd done when the animatronic's voice glitched mid-sentence and he, along with the group of children turned to look at you with surprise and bewilderment, you quickly covered your mouth and cleared your throat as you tried your best to act casual, sitting beside Moon "so uh..what..what are we reading?" You asked though your voice was barely audible and you couldn't force it to go any louder, Moon continued to stare at you for a moment before clearing his non-existent throat and shushing the kids who had begun to 'ooo' quietly
"Princess and the frog" he answered with a slight crackle in his voice box before promptly resuming the story, you nodded silently and stared towards the floor, not absorbing any of the story but it wasn't as though you'd never heard it before, thankfully it didn't seem like Moon wanted to talk about it, simply going about his usual cleaning duties and handing out water bottles like normal, Sun, however, stared directly at you once the lights came back on and the children were filing out of the daycare, his face of course didn't change from it's usual frozen grin but you could feel the knowing expression boreing into you, he approached you as the last child left with their parents "soooooo" he trilled causing you to cover your face "it was an accident" you replied, muffled by your hands
"an accident you say? Looked like a kiss to me" he teased in a smug but jolly tone leaning down to your level as his faceplate twisted to the side quizzically
"I wasn't thinking okay" you squeaked "oh you were definitely thinking, maybe not about what you were doing, but you were thinking"
You grabbed the animatronic's arm and started walking swiftly "to the charging station with you" you said with a false sort of sternness to your voice before squawking as you were quite abruptly lifted up by the animatronic who shoved his face plate against your cheek with a rather cartoonish kissing sound "oh whoops, didn't mean to do that" he said, beginning to giggle as he then pressed his faceplate against your other cheek "oopsy daisy" then your forehead "oh dear me!" then your lips "wowza what am I gonna do about me I am just so clumsy today!" You pushed his faceplate away in a fit of giggles "Sunny quit it you need to charge!"
Sun sighed dramatically and tucked you under his arm like a piece of luggage as he headed to the room where his charging station was "fiiiiiinne" you struggled a bit in his hold as he carried you all the way into the room and even got into the charging station with you still pinned under his arm "Sun put me down!!" You squealed
He held you out in front of him, looking at you silently for a moment and slowly beginning to bring you closer to his face "oh no! It's happening again! I'm gonna-" you were suddenly shoved against his face "mwah!"
You giggled and swatted at him playfully as you were then finally set down "I love you Y/n! I'll see you tomorrow!" He said as you pushed the glass door closed "I love you too Sunny!" You replied, watching him lean into his supports and slowly power down.
You started to leave but got a bad feeling, looking over your shoulder at Sun before sighing and pulling the door to the room closed and slipping your shoes off, returning to the charging station and pressing your hand against the glass "it's my job to keep you working right?...they can't get mad about me watching out for you... I'm just doing my job" you muttered sitting on the floor with your back pressed against the charging station's door, you knew that it was definitely against several rules for you to stay but you couldn't bring yourself to just leave them alone, you began to mindlessly play on your phone, it would be a long night, hopefully Vanessa wouldn't realize that you'd never left the Plex.
