"Please," I begged, struggling against the hands that grabbed at my arms, "I don't have what you want."

"You have a way in with that family," The tallest of the three men grunted, "You tell us how to get that candle and no one gets hurt."

"You do understand I can't do that," I told the man, still struggling against his grip.

The other two roughly shoved me into a chair, using a withering rope to bind my hands behind me. They then worked on my legs and bound them to those of the chair. The tallest knelt down on one knee and holding my chin in his right hand.

"Well then, we will just have to find something else to use you for," He smirked before standing up and walking towards his companions, mumbling about possible options for me.

"Dolores," I whispered, keeping my head down, "Dolores, if you can hear me. Under the theatre, there's three of them. Please hurry."

*Dolores POV*

"Mama! Abuela! Come quick!" I ran into the kitchen, Camilo and Isabela hot on my heels.

The two women arrived seconds later, both their faces clouded with concern.

"What is it? Dolores? What's wrong?" Abuela asked, clutching her shawl to her chest.

"It's y/n. I heard her. She's not safe, something wrong."

"Where is she? What did you hear?" My mother chimed in, placing her hand on my back and urging me to sit down.

I pushed her hand away, beginning a pace around the kitchen. The rest of the family had made its way to the kitchen as well, watching me fumble over my words.

"I heard- I heard," I couldn't get the words out, my worry building up too much.

"Dolores, what was it?" Camilo asked, placing a comforting hand on my arm.

"She said 'under the theatre, there's three of them' which can only mean she's in trouble."

"Well let's go find her!" Luisa said, clenching her fists and standing up straighter, "She said the theatre? Let's go."

"Wait! We need a proper plan. We can't just barge in demanding our friend back. That's not going to work," Mirabel stated, earning a look from the family.

As the only kid with no gift in the family, she was often overlooked; however, she was right.

"Mirabel's not wrong. If we walk in there with no plan they could hurt her even more," I told them, placing my hand on Mirabel's shoulder.

She gave me a half smile and Luisa moved to the front, "So what do you propose we do?"

"We need to stay hidden, they can't see us coming and we need to find a way in. Camilo!" I pointed at my brother, "I need you to shapeshift into one of the guards. I'll go with you to listen in, Tia Julieta and Luisa, I need you both as well. If the guards are violent, we'll need your strength Luisa. And Tia, bring some food in case she's hurt."

"What about the rest of us?" Isabela asked, her father's arm around her shoulder.

"The rest of you stay here. We don't want it to get to crowded," I told her, locking eyes with the rest of the Madrigals.
