I felt like I was floating on clouds. It was a wonderful dream. It smelled like sweet pumpkin and cinnamon, I felt minty and fresh. I saw my friends and I, laughing together happily. The one in the middle of it all was the man of the hour. Khun himself. I skipped to him happily.
"Khun! What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Oh, nothing. Just thinking about you," he smiled. I felt my heart skip a beat.
"M- me?! HAHA- you're funny! Lil ol' me?! No way!" I wave my hand in dismissal.
"No, I'm not lying," he pouted. "Why would I lie to you?" He reached up and held my cheeks in his hands. "You're the prettiest girl I know. On the inside, and out." My face burned, and was practically radiating heat energy.
Do I actually have a crush on this guy? He's nowhere like this replica my mind created. But... either way... I love it. I love it here. I want to stay here forever. Forever...
What was I even doing to have fallen asleep? Is this even a dream? Heck, (Y/N) you're walking on pink clouds! Of course it's a dream!
...But why do I feel so sad? Why does my body hurt?
I looked down at my hands. They were trembling. I hadn't noticed. My arms hurt, but they seemed perfectly fine. They were sparkling, even! My [skin color] was smoother than normal, and I felt... for a lack of a better term, beautiful. Perfect. This is what I want to be, to feel like in the real world.
Sadly, that's not the case. But that's OK! I think I look fine, just the way I am! But... everyone yearns some sort of difference. Once they gain that difference, they yearn for something more. That's why, I'm grateful for what I am and what I have.
But it's OK to get jealous of others sometimes, right?
As I was deep in thought, I came back to reality- er- dream-ality when I heard a faint beep sound.
Beep...
Beep...
I felt the cloud feeling heavier and the sudden sense of falling. I was blinded by the light and scrunched up my face.
"-/N)!" I heard a bit of someone's voice. A familiar voice. I opened my eyes slowly.
"M- Mom...?" I rasped. My mom was holding my hands, her cheeks stained with dry tears. New tears began to form.
"Oh, (Y/N)!" She sobbed as she embraced me.
"What, what...??? What happened?!" I asked in concern. I noticed my surroundings. I was in a hospital room...? I knew the bed didn't feel as comfy as my own.
"Sweetie... the good thing is you're okay now... that's all that matters!" She smiled through the tears. It pained me to see her like this. You know what else pains me? EVERYTHING. My body feels like it just went to Hell and back!
The door slammed open before I could ask her anything.
"(Y/N)! You're awake!" My dad exclaimed as two nurses came rushing in.
