Vic jumped on my bunk and started shaking my shoulder. I groaned and punched his stomach. Sleeping on a bus was HELL.

I felt Vic lie down next to me. "Aww, come on Laurey. It's important!" he whispered in my ear.

I rolled over to face him, and I realized he didn't have a shirt on. "What is it?" I asked, yawning.

"You got nominates for an Indie Award!" Vic said happily. I paused.

"Did - Did Marianas Trench get nominated?" I asked. Vic bit his lip.

"They got nominated nine times..." he admitted. I rolled back over.

"Then I'm not going. It's just going to be awkward seeing Josh there." I said.

Vic moved a little closer, and put his hand on my cheek that was closest to the pillow. He moved my head for I had to look at him.

"Please? Pierce the Veil is probably never going to get to the Indies, and you have a good chance to win. Everyone else in the category you were nominated in are old and creepy." Vic said.

I rolled my eyes. "Fine... But if we see Josh, I'm blaming you." I said. Vic smiled and pecked my cheek, then crawled out of my bunk.

"Oh and the Indies are next week! And you were nominated in Collaboration of the Year!" Vic told me.

"Okay! Now, shut the fuck up and let me SLEEP!" I said. He laughed.

6 Days Later

"So what am I gonna wear?" I asked my stylist. I got my own stylist, only for special events like award shows and that kinda stuff.

"I was thinking of a dress." she said sarcastically. I loved Alison because she knew me so well.

"Hahaha. Very funny Ali." I said. She smiled.

"That is what most girls wear to the indies. What's Vic wearing?" Alison asked.

"A beanie, sunglasses, t-shirt, jacket and jeans. Same as always." I said. Vic always wore around the same thing.

"How about for you, a t-shirt, jeans, and heels? Then we can add a color, I'm thinking gold, to make it look like you dressed up?" Alison said.

I smiled. "Deal." I said.

Alison smiled and started picking out some clothes. Gold heels, black jeans,  gray shirt. Nice. She gave me the bundle of clothes and pushed me into the change rooms.

I came out and I did a little show and tell. I looked at myself in the mirror.

"You are awesome, you know that?" I told Alison. She smiled and straightened my shirt.

"I know." Alison chirped. I smiled.

Alison pulled me over to a chair, and started doing my hair. She pulled it back in a loose bun, and added golden leaf bobby pins in the places my hair started to fall.

She gave me earrings to put in, and a huge pile of bracelets to put on. She painted my nails gold. When she was done, I looked at myself.

"Okay, you're not even awesome, YOU ARE FUCKING AMAZING! I'VE NEVER LOOKED THIS GOOD IN MY LIFE!"  I said, hugging her.

"Careful of the nails, sweetheart." Alison laughed. "We'll deal with your makeup tomorrow."

I purposely made my eyes look big. "There's MORE?" I gasped.

Alison laughed and picked through some things to show me gold eyeshadow and sparkly pink lip gloss.

"Okay, don't make me look too good or Vic will like, faint or something." I laughed.
