Chapter 23

I'm watching videos all day, and today basically sucked, so of course, my options for keeping myself from crying, are 1 GET HELP. or 2, update a chapter. I think you can see what I picked. :) I still need names.

Lauren's P.O.V.

I sat down on the couch, Icky nearly making me fall for the billionth time. I picked him up under his front  paws, (basically if cats had armpits, his armpit) and looked him dead in the eye.

"Why are you so needy today?" I asked him.

He pawed at my hair and I heard the front door open. Josh came in grinning, and I knew that was never a good sign.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked nervously.

"I got a surprise for you...." he said. I made my eyes go wide.

"WHAT IS IT?" I asked, trying to sound scared. He laughed. He plopped down beside me, and Icky scurried off into our bedroom.

"Remember how your parents asked if we were having a honeymoon and we both agreed we didn't want to because we fly too much already being famous, so we just decided not to have one?" he asked.

"Yes...?" I said.

"Go down to the park down the road at 8:00 tonight." he said, smiling, pecking my cheek and leaving.

I looked at the door for a minute, then took my phone out.

1:28 PM - Did Josh tell you his 'plan' for the park at 8?

1:30 PM - Why?

1:30 PM - He won't tell me what he planned! I thought he'd tell Matt or someone, and Matt would tell you.

1:30 PM - Oh, well yeah, I do know. But all I can tell you is it's the most romantic thing I think Josh has ever planned by himself.

1:31 PM - Grrr! I hate surprises! They take to long and then I stop caring! But more romantic then that time he took me out to dinner then we went out and watched fireflies?

1:32 PM - Laur, he took you to a tofu burger place because you gave up meat for a week, then you guys BOTH slipped on the SAME patch of grass, fell down, and you just stayed on the wet grass watching fireflies.

1:32 PM - Oh shut up, Josh is just an awkward little douche when it comes to being romantic in a way that isn't being the normal horny douche he always is.

1:35 PM - Hahaha, anyway, all I can tell you is wear something pretty.

I rolled my eyes. Nicole always would tell me the weirdest part of a surprise, and never tell me the whole thing.

I started digging through my closet, picking out the clothes that weren't dirty. (I'm just as lazy as the guys now)

I picked out my favorite jeans, red-ish starry converse, my dark purple hoodie, grey fingerless gloves, and my favorite black t-shirt.

I sat down in the big comfy chair I had in my old room, with the desktop computer. Somebody *cough* *cough* Mike *cough* *cough* broke my laptop when he was playing online tennis and punched the screen.

I curled up in the chair and brought the keyboard up and laid it on my knees. I logged on to Twitte- Wow. I never realized how much I say that. I use Twitter A LOT.

Josh has a romantic surprise for me tonight... Should I be scared?

I laughed as the replies flooded through, most of them saying YES. Eventually it was time for me to go down to the park.

The park Josh was talking about is huge, surrounded by a fence, and it has trees everywhere. There's paths leading everywhere in the park. It's a really beautiful place to be at night.

I pulled my hood up to shield my neck from the cold darkness, and stuffed my hands in my pockets. I walked for a bit, then I saw lights ahead of me.

Lining the trees next to the path, were a bunch of lanterns. Little orange and yellow paper lanterns. My mouth hung open for a bit, then it grew into a smile. It looked amazing.

I smiled and continued walking down the path. I came across a little clearing, densely surrounded by trees, that was decorated with lanterns.

There was a giant blue beanbag chair in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by Two hands covered my eyes. I smiled, took his hands down, and turned around to face him as he put his arms around my waist.

"Hi." I said. He smiled.

"Hi." he repeated. His breath smelled like mints and pizza.

"So what's all this?" I asked, smiling and motioning to the beanbag chair.

"I thought you of all people would know about the meteor shower tonight." he laughed.

"Oh my god! I love those!" I said. He smiled.

"Duhh. That's the point." he said. I laughed.

His eyes sparkled every time the leaves rustled in front of the lanterns. He had a childish grin, and he swung me into his arms.

We both went over to the bean bag chair, and he sat down as I curled up on his lap. I put my head on his shoulder and he slipped his hand up my shirt and rubbed my back.

Before I knew it, we were both looking up at the night sky, watching thousands of meteors zipping through the sky.

"You going to make a wish?" he asked. I smiled.

"I don't need too. I have you, Icky, and a great bunch of fans. I don't need to wish for anything." I said.

He laughed and kissed my temple. "Despite the fact that was SOOO cheesy, I agree." he said.

I laughed. We sat quiet for a bit, watching the meteor shower. I got really tired. I mean, who wouldn't? Lying down, at night, with your husband rubbing your back, watching stars.

I yawned and he smiled. "Tired?" he asked.

I nodded and put my head on his shoulder. "Yeah. But I'll stay up." I said. He smiled.

I started playing with his blue hair. It was funny. Every time Josh got a hair cut, he'd let his side-bang-thingy grow out until his hair covered half his face, then he'd get it cut again.

"It's silver." I mumbled.

"What?" he chuckled.

"Your hair, it's silver again." I said. He laughed.

"Yeah, I guess I like the way silver and blond mix together so I didn't bother to dye it again." he said.

I smiled. Josh laughed and went cross-eyed watching me play with his hair again. He stopped rubbing my back and ran his hands up my back. He started twirling a piece of my hair between his fingers.

"What are you doing?" I laughed.

"You always play with my hair when your tired or bored or something. I wanted to see why you like it so much." he said. I smiled and pecked his lips.

He smirked and pulled me back in for another kiss. Of course, I happily obliged.

Okay, I know this chapter is incredibly fucking short (I dunno, the scroll thingy on the side looks big so I'm guessing it's going to be a short chapter) but I have to clean my room. Plus I'm REALLY excited for the next chapter. Oh, and I have a question. Thoughts on the name Tia? (has nothing to do with my new story I'm posting on Thursday)
