God, I'm evil aren't I? Muaw hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. But don't worry, things could get better.

Josh's P.O.V.

It was weird. It was like a dream. There was these huge dark looking gates in front of us, next to that even bigger white gates. We were heading to the white ones.

Everything was quiet. I was on a boat-type-thing with a dude in a cloak. I couldn't see is face. I looked down at the water, and realized it was florescent green.

I looked behind me. On land behind me, it was sunny, and I could see something. It was in a hospital room. I saw Lauren.

I could feel how much physical and emotional pain she was in. Nurses were trying to get her to calm down. I could feel myself slowly, slipping away from her.

Lauren's P.O.V.

"What's the date today?" I asked after a while. The sun was up, so I guessed it was the day after Valentines.

"February 23rd." Matt said. I gave him a look.

"What?!" I demanded.

"You both were in a coma. Well, you were since you passed out at the car crash, but Josh was awake before we even knew if you were going to survive." Matt said.

Tears streamed down my face once again. "I could have had all this time with him if I could have just woken up. It's my fault he got hurt anyway." I said.

Josh's P.O.V.

"It's all my fault." I heard her say.

This was torturing me. I just wanted to be right there, next to her. I want to be telling her everything is going to be fine. But I keep feeling myself get farther and farther away from her.

"Lauren you broke your arm, and you broke nearly all the stitches on your stomach. You need to leave." Matt said, pulling at her arm.

I watched her cry on my chest, which made me feel horrible, and look up. "No! Josh is dead so just leave me here to die.'' she sobbed.

Then I got a plan. A Josh plan. I didn't know if this was going to work, but I dove into the green water. The person on the boat screeched.

I started swimming, and suddenly I felt a strong force push me forward. If I could smile, I would. A huge wave pushed me closer to shore.

The Reader's P.O.V.

A single tear fell from Lauren's eyes, and landed on Josh's cheek. As Matt pulled Lauren away to go be treated, the tear ran down above Josh's eye.

The door closed, and Josh's eyes moved like he was trying to close them tightly. Then he sprung up in his bed. He panted.

The heart monitor suddenly spurred back to life. A nurse ran in.

"Oh my god! He's alive!" she gasped.

Josh's P.O.V.

I gave her a smile as she started working on the machines I was hooked up to. After a while my head stopped hurting. The nurse took off the bandages from my head.

"Good news Joshua! You'll be able to go to home tomorrow!" she chirped. I tried to speak, but my voice was shot.

"Don't worry. You have laryngitis. It's not anything permanent." she said. I nodded.

The nurse handed me a notebook. I asked where Lauren was.

"Oh, she passed out again. You're a lucky guy, she's very determined. She unhooked herself from all the machines, then walked out to the front desk without crutches, stayed with you for hours. She nearly killed herself, but she refused to leave you." she said. I smiled.
