Breaking the rules (SCP-049 x reader)

Chapter 6

You had to hold back a scream.

You pulled your hand away and backed up.

Wait...

You aren't dead...

You aren't dead!

How?!

" You were saying?"

" Right... I, um... I prefer not to be referred to as a doctor," you reply as you look for a way to run.

" Oh, Alright. May I know your name?" 

You sigh," Y/N....".

" That's a nice name..."

You started at him for a second, why was he being so nice? Especially to you.

He was going to use you, wasn't he? 

" Why did you help me?"

" It would be rude if I didn't, Y/N"

You giggle awkwardly," Of course". Why aren't you dead?!

You wanted to ask but, you also didn't. You thought you knew anyway. Guess you don't have "the great pestilence", good for you.

Slowly, you started to not be afraid anymore, just confused. Now, you just wanted him to be gone.

" You seem a little lost, do you need help?" He asked.

" Uh... No, thank you!" You say before rushing past him and heading down the hall.

This confused him.

You turn around to see him following you.

" Where are you going?" he asked.

" Looking for another elevator, the other one was messed up"

" I can come with you and help"

" I will literally walk you right back to your containment,"  you say with your arms crossed, kind of as a joke.

Aren't you funny?

" That's fine," he replied.

You just stare at him. Almost wanting to laugh, it's like you never really knew how he would respond. Weird. 

Honestly, he probably knew this place better than you...

" Look, I don't know this place very well... You help me get where I need to go and then you go back to where you're supposed to be"

" I suppose we can do that," he replied.

You sighed, you're going to regret this, aren't you?

Honestly, you just hoped that was the plan that was followed by both of you. You let him lead, you had no idea where you were going. But he did find another elevator pretty quickly.

" There you go," he said.

" Thanks..."

He didn't know why but there was something different about you to him. He was going to figure out what it was. It was unlikely he would make it out anyway. Guess he's tagging along.

049 entered the elevator with you.

You were going to ask him to leave but... You do still need him. Wait- are you using him?

You stopped for a second, you couldn't start with going to the highest floor. You couldn't try to exit, not with him here. 

You remembered your dad's office. The map. There were marked safe rooms. You could go to some of them. Someone had to be near to help you with your new... situation.

Face it... For now... you're stuck with him and probably for a while.

You turn to him and stop him from pressing a button. You press one going to the floor with the office.

" I- I think I know where we should go first, and I don't want to have to explain this to anyone right now..."

" Of course," he responded.
