Robin
"Wait, so the reason I almost died was because Tony deactivated the chip?" I ask Nat as she walks out of the bathroom. The sun is shining through my windows and I have to squint to be able to see the city.
"Yeah basically. I think your body's reaction was to have a fever and when you have a fever, your body heats up, and we all know how you react to heat," She tells me as she wrings the water out of her hair with a towel. "So I think that if you didn't have any powers, you might have just gotten a cold with a low grade fever." I nod and attempt to get up from sitting on my bed, but I stumble back down. "Take it easy, you still are sick, whether you feel like you are or not."
"Okay," I sigh. "Can you turn down the thermostat?" I might as well take advantage of this. She walks over the thermostat and turns the knob.
"Is 70F good?" She asks me.
"Maybe like one degree lower," I suggest with a smile on my face.
"Okay, 69..." she glares at me with an extremely disappointed look on her face. "Real Mature Ro, real mature." She rolls her eyes, but I keep silently chuckling. "Someday, you are going to need to grow up! When I was your age-" Suddenly, the door swings open and in runs Tony and Wanda.
"Robin! You're up!" Wanda exclaims as she embraces me. Once I escape her bone crushing hug, I look up to see a tired Tony.
"Hey kid, Steve told me everything, I'm so sorry," Tony solemnly tells me.
"Dude you're good, how could you know it would happen?" I comfort him. He smiles and then reaches into his pocket.
"Ohh! I almost forgot, I made you something," he gasps as he pulls out a ring. "It's an ice ring!"
"Yay, now I can finally be like Jack frost," I remark. They all just glare at me. "What? He's like hella hot in Rise of Guardians." Still, they all glare. "Okay, just give me the damn ring, you guys clearly have no culture." I sigh as I grab the ring and put it on. I instantly feel a refreshing cooling sensation all over my body. "Woah," I gasp as I stand up feeling 100% better. Tony smiles and nods.
"Yeah I matched it to your DNA so that your whole body cools down," he tells me matter of factly. My stomach rumbles, and I realize how long it's been since I last ate.
"Okay, that's cool and all, but can we have breakfast, cause I'm starving," I inform them.
"I agree with Robin," Wanda exclaims as she grabs my hand and practically drags me upstairs. "Have I got the meal for you!" Wanda gasps as she runs around the kitchen grabbing random ingredients with her powers. Soon, there are just a bunch of floating ingredients. Slowly I take a seat at the island, lowkey scared. Honestly, it's very fun to watch her scramble around, or drop an egg because she got distracted. After about 20 minutes of madness she finally is done. The product of all of the chaos is a breakfast burrito. The flavors blend together harmoniously with every bite. It's safe to say that the meal was gone within seconds. Wanda just smiles and nods. Soon, everyone trickles in and eventually, everyone is there. It's nice that they aren't talking about last night.
"Kid, I wasn't done scolding you," Nat informs me as she sits in the seat next to me.
"I got the point though," I groan. She starts blabbering on and on about how I can't act like a child and etcetera. Slowly I sink lower and lower in my chair. Suddenly, Nat's phone rings and I jump. Quickly she leaves the room to take the call. Not much later she comes back.
"I have to go on a Mission," she announces as she heads for the elevator. This was normal, sometimes they just left, but usually it's not just one person alone. I'll ask her about it when she gets back. Before we knew it, she was gone and everyone went back to their conversations. It's all just boring topics
