Authors note: NSFW/smut warning! Double posting in the span of two days?! You're welcome! But that means that my next chapter will be released in TWO weeks instead of one (02/06/22) Also! Don't be upset that this smut scene came in so early. I don't even consider this full-length smut so I DID hold back a lot. I'm saving the real smut until my Halloween chapter :p So look forward to that! Okay, okay I'm done now. Enjoy!

I left after my encounter with Eren. I regret it. Largely because he and Mikasa are something, I don't know what. I felt guilty. Every time I ask him what his relationship with Mikasa is, it turns into a different topic. But tensions also seem high between the two. It felt wrong to talk with him like that. It's been almost three weeks since I came here and I feel so left out of the loop.

I woke up to a phone call from Lauren. I quickly answer it.

"Hey. I'm sorry for not calling. I've been settling in and it's all so overwhelming," I explain my absence. I hear Lauren sigh.

"She misses you. You should come to visit today. Have you made any friends?" Lauren asks me. I sit up on my bed and rub my eyes as I held the phone to my ear. I look out of the window where the sun shone through before responding.

"Yeah actually. I'm still getting a feel of them. I met a whole friend group. They seem kind of weird though," I tell her quietly.

    "How come?" She asks.

"I don't know. They've all known each other for so long. I kind of feel like an alien. But they also seem like they're hiding so much. I feel like I'm just barely scratching the surface," I explain.

"Ah. Well, that's how it's going to be niña. You're someone new infiltrating a friend group that has such a strong cycle of how they run things. Anyone is bound to feel left out. You've been there almost a month now. Don't stress about it. You're a good person. They'll see that. When I was a little girl, my mother always gossiped. I was always curious to know. When I asked her, she always told me the same thing," Lauren tells me. (The term 'niña' translates to 'girl'. It's considered a term of endearment in the Spanish language)

"What was it?" I ask her.

"Lo que no sabes, no te hará daño. What you don't know, won't hurt you. If they want to tell you everything then let them. If they don't, then consider ignorance being a bliss. They probably aren't telling you things to keep you safe. Or maybe they don't want to show their not best versions of themselves to you. Consider it flattering," Lauren tells me. I sigh before responding. I thought about what Lauren said to me. I'll remember her words.

"I'm not busy today. Tell grandma I'll visit her in a couple of hours," I tell her.

"How great. I'm cooking right now. Invite a couple of your friends if they aren't busy. They can take some of this food home because I know I cooked too much," She tells me. I chuckle.

"I don't know if I'm ready for them to come over. They're definitely a bunch," I tease my newfound friends. Lauren chuckles.

"Then invite one if you want. I want to meet your friends that you've been so busy with to not even call," Lauren scolds me. I chuckle nervously.

"I'll bring Sasha then. She loves to eat to prepare yourselves," I warn. Lauren laughs.

"Okay then. I'll tell your grandmother. See you soon mija," ('Mija' refers to an older person calling a younger person 'my daughter' in direct translation. But this is a term of endearment that is more meant as 'honey' or 'sweetheart' used mostly by Spanish-speaking people) She hangs up.
