Author's note: If it's too dialogue-heavy then I apologize! I personally like this chapter! It leaves over analytic readers with questions (I think)! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter, even if it might be a bit shorter! The next chapter will be posted on Sunday, March 13th! Stay tuned! So excited for the next chapter! Enjoy this one!

Friday

I was relieved that the week was over. Finally the weekend. As I walked with Sasha out of the lecture hall, I see Jean approach us. I thought he'd talk to Sasha so I didn't think much of it. But when he looked over at me, confusion was painted on my face. Sasha stops her chuckles and jokes when she sees Jean approach us. He stops in front of us, his bookbag slung over one shoulder as he held onto the strap. His tall frame stood still as his head slightly tilts down to look at me. My eyebrows raise, urging him to do or say something. Sasha looks at me before looking back up at Jean as he stood there speechless. Not nervously. He just looked like he was trying to organize his thoughts.

"Is there something you want Jean?" I ask him, irritated that he's not speaking.

"Relax. I came to say sorry about the other day. Feels weird not being on good terms with someone other than the usuals. So I'm sorry. It was weird and fucked up for me to say in a group chat or in general. Oh. And I'm sorry for being so sloppy when we met the first time. I'm thoroughly embarrassed. Eren doesn't fail to remind me. Hopefully, you can forgive me. But if you need time or decide not to then it's cool. I just wanted to be cordial at least," He finally tells me. Sasha and I glance back at each other. She points her eyes back to Jean, forcing me to look back at him and give him an answer. I give him a small sigh before speaking.

"It's cool. Thank you for the apology. Let's take it little by little. All is forgiven but it's gonna take some time for me to be completely cool with you," I explain. He nods, understanding.

"Cool. Because I wanted to invite you to the party and I know you would've gone anyway but I didn't want what happened to fog your thoughts about coming since I'm throwing the party," He tells me. I nod.

"That's understandable. Thanks, Jean," I tell him. He nods before walking the opposite way from us. Sasha grabs my arm as we walked out of the building.

"Wow since when has Mr. Big shot gotten the balls to even apologize to someone?" I joke to Sasha. She chuckles.

"I dunno. But he's been a little off lately. I think he found someone," She tells me. I look at her as we walk outside to a nearby bench to just sit and talk for a bit.

"What's so off about finding someone?" I ask her.

"Not that specifically. He usually tells us everything that happens when he gets with anyone. He cannot shut his mouth for the life of him. Connie and I usually just know when he's seeing someone. But this time I think he's keeping it a secret. He's just acting too weird for us to let it go. Anyway, I'm glad Connie and I weren't the only ones who caught on. It doesn't take his best friends to know that. Have you seen anything up with Jean?" She asks me. I ponder before responding. We find an empty bench and sit down before I answered.

"No. Not really. I'm not near Jean much as is. He just apologized. Sorry," I tell her. She turns to face me. We look around as people walked on campus. We see Annie with Reiner and Bertholdt, casually speaking. I look back at Sasha to find that she's already looking at me, ready to gossip. I smile before letting out a chuckle.

"Dude they're fucking. Like for sure. Especially after the other night. The night of the raffle, she was all over Bertie. I'm surprised Armin wasn't phased. He's usually really good at hiding his emotions when he wants to. He just turns it off and on like a light switch. It's a bit creepy. But who knows what's going on with him?" She observes. I shrug my shoulders.
