[ Past - December 25th, 2005]

" Hi! Chifuyuuuu! " I called out while waving and approaching him.

" What the fuck-?! Oh, it's only you (y/n)... " Chifuyu said while laughing.

" What's wrong? " I asked.

" I thought you're Mikey-kun with (h/c) hair in 0.5 seconds. " Chifuyu said.

I laughed it out because it's true, Takemichi thought it too earlier. Mikey's gift was a box of dorayaki with a matching sweater like his of the gang and a note stuck to it saying " If you're gonna wear this make sure you'll match it with my usual hairstyle, Merry Christmas!! "

" Come on, let's bring you to Take-nii with that sash. You planning on giving him Baji's right? " I asked while smiling.

" Yeah! " He answered as we walked our way silently to Takemichi.

" Take-nii! " I called out while waving and pointing at Chifuyu who waved a little. 

" Tokyo Manji Gang, First Division Vice Captain, Chifuyu Matsuno! " Chifuyu introduced while bowing down. 

" Born in Tokyo's Shibuya ward in 1991...I spent my life hurting others. The person who changed all that was a man named Keisuke Baji. " He continued while stretching out the sash. 

" He was a great man, who rushed straight ahead through every obstacle. This is Keisuke Baji's sash. I leave it in your care. " Chifuyu said.

After putting the sash Takemichi called out, " Chifuyu. " 

" Tokyo Manji Gang, First Division Captain...Takemichi Hanagaki! Wearing this sash... I'll rush straight ahead through every obstacle. I swear it! " Takemichi announced. 

" You guys warmed up now? " I asked to break the silence. 

" Yeah! " The both of them answered making me smile. 

After that, the three of us met up with Kisaki and Hanma as we go to the church, the battlefield. 

" This is it... " Takemichi said. 

" Can you stick to the plan?! " Kisaki asked. 

" Yes we can, you don't need to shout. " I said while crossing my arms. 

" We'll go reason with Hakkai, who should already be in the church...while you guys ambush Taiju. " Takemichi said. 

I can see that Chifuyu patted Takemichi's back and said something but I can't quite understand a bit cause his voice was low for only both of them to hear. 

" Ah, anyways we got this! " Takemichi said making me nod and entered the church with him.

As soon as we entered, in a distance we already saw Hakkai's back in the Black Dragons clothes making Takemichi and I looked at each other and nod. 

The both of us approached him as Takemichi called him, " Hakkai!! "

The tall boy was alerted and looked in our direction with a quite surprised look.

" Takemitchy?!...(Y/n)?! " Hakkai asked surprised. " What're you two doing here?! " 

" Figures you'd be here! Hakkai! " Takemichi commented. 

" What's going on? " Hakkai asked. 

" Hmmm...we came to stop you. " I answered silently. 

' If Hakkai's here, then...I hate to admit it but Kisaki's information was correct. According to Kisaki, Taiju is on his way to this church while Kisaki and the others stop Taiju outside... I've got to reason with Hakkai!! ' 

" You both, I didn't have that talk with you because I wanted you both to stop me. " Hakkai said. 

" It was so I could strengthen my resolve! If you get in my way, I'll kill you, too! " Hakkai exclaimed making me hum. 

" No, you won't. " Takemichi said. 

" Ah? " Hakkai asked. 

" Whenever I share any of my worries with someone it's because I can't decide what to do. " Takemichi said. 

" Hakkai...I know how you feel. You think there's no other way to stop Taiju's tyranny. " I said. " No other way but to kill him. " 

" But choosing murder won't protect anyone. " Takemichi said. 

" Don't you wanna protect your sister?! Hakkai! " Takemichi exclaimed. 

" What the hell do you two know?!! " Hakkai exclaimed in anger making me shut my mouth and Takemichi flinch but after that Hakkai looked away. 

" If the food tastes bad, he hits me! If I don't greet him properly, he forces me to sit kneeling all day. I fI didn't wake up earlier than he does, he kicks me until I throw up blood. If our eyes meet when he's in a bad mood, he beats the shit outta me. " Hakkai said. 

" That's the life in the Shiba household. Stay out of our family's business!! " 

Silence overwhelmed us making me groan in annoyance. 

" Go home. You both can't stop me. " Hakkai said. 

" Yesterday... " Takemichi started. 

Oh no... 

" I broke up with Hina. " Takemichi continued. " I broke up with Hina to protect her. " 

" I'm weak. I'm gutless. And I'm a huge idiot. I'm not as great as my sister. But she loved me anyway. So, I'd do anything to protect her!! " Takemichi said making me smile proudly at him. 

 " Yes, but remember tho, no matter how much I'm with my brother, no matter how much he hates an enemy he will never do something to make Hina-chan sad. " I explained. 

" Hey, Hakkai!! Do you think this is gonna make Yuzuha happy?!! " Takemichi asked. " Don't you think Yuzuha would be sad if you became a murderer?!! " 

" Takemichy. " Hakkai called out.

I quickly turned around as soon as I heard footsteps and unexpectedly saw Taiju. 

" Our father, who art in heaven. I pray, in thy holy name...Amen. " Taiju prayed as he was walking forward. 

" What? " I muttered out. 

 " Are we betrayed...? " Takemichi asked making me click my tongue. 

" What the hell...are you bastards doing here?! " Taiju asked. 

Just then, Hakkai lunges at Taiju with the knife, screaming. 

" Hakkai?! " Takemichi called out. 

" Stop, Hakkai! " I exclaimed.
