You Are My Sunshine (Sun and Moon x reader)

Once all of the kids had left Sun lead you to a small back room which contained a unique charging station with arm, waist, and leg supports in it "why do you have supports?" You asked, quickly wiping the marker squiggles off of Sun's arms with an alcohol pad "because I have to power off to charge and I go rag doll when I'm powered off fully" he explained as he sat down to take his shoes off since as with most of the animatronics his connectors were in his feet, your attention was drawn to a neatly organized pile of plushies in the corner of the room which seemed to be entirely untouched, being blanketed in a thick layer of dust, none of them were the kind sold in the gift shops, just various generic plushies like you'd find at the grocery store "what's with that?" You asked, motioning to the pile as Sun placed his shoes neatly beside the charging station "oh, those are Moon's, he gets them from the lost and found if no one comes to claim them, I think he said something about feeling bad for them... I think one or two of them were gifts though" Sun answered as he got into the charging station and leaned into the supports which clamped around him "how long do you have to be in there?" You asked "until tomorrow morning" he answered, shifting slightly as though he were getting comfortable before his head slowly dropped as he began to power down "okay sweetheart, I'll see you then" you said, waiting for him to power off fully before leaving the room, going to get your laundry and such done though the pizzaplex was still open so you had to dodge guests on your way to the laundry room, hearing a familiar voice steadily getting closer "hey! HEY YOU!  Yo doc!" You looked over to see the employee barreling towards you and stood still for a second to let them catch up at which point they came to a sliding stop beside you, wheezing quietly "damn, do you ever have a day off?" You asked "nah-" they replied breathlessly, gasping for a moment longer before speaking as you started to walk again "I'm the main robotics technician and mechanic around this place, I'm always here cause one of the fuckers is always broken, I also do a bit of security work y'know, gotta see how they get broke in the first place" they explained, walking with you "well if they're always broken shouldn't you be busy right now?" You asked "nah, they'll call me on the loud speaker when they need me" they answered before looking at the bundle of clothes in your arms "doin some laundry?" They asked "nah, clearly I'm going to throw them off the roof" you replied with a raised brow "ah, well I was just asking cause the laundry room is down in the utility tunnels and the only working entrance to the utility tunnels is that way" they said, spinning on their heels and pointing the opposite direction of where you were going you turned around with a sigh "ah give me a break, this place is like a maze I swear" you said, following the employee as they lead the way for you "don't worry about it, when I first started I walked circles around the same corridor like 6 times before realizing I wasn't getting anywhere" they explained with a chuckle, going quiet for a minute before looking back at you with a dumb grin "soooooo how's everything going with your little sunnybun?" They asked with a tone that made you cringe internally "good, everything's good other than moon being scared shitless of me for no reason, the cooling system works fine and he's charging right now" you answered "well y'know people aren't just scared for no reason, Moony has his reasonings, and it's not just you either from my understanding he had some kind of falling out with their first maintenance tech and hasn't let anyone near him since" they said, finally walking into the laundry room "yeah, that's what Sunny told me...does anyone know what actually happened? I mean I know it's none of my business but I don't wanna risk setting him off somehow...i kinda already promised" you asked, starting to load your laundry into one of the many machines "I mean I guess the guy at employee services would know, Moon did make out a report to get the old tech fired, I dunno if he'd tell you though, this place keeps any 'incidents' under tight wraps" they answered, looking up as the loud speaker clicked on with quiet static followed by a blairing voice MAINTENANCE TO STAGE 1, MAINTENANCE TO STAGE 1 "well that's me, good luck getting back" they said, turning quickly and leaving the room "yeah...seeya" you replied, finding somewhere to sit down and waiting for your clothes

4 hours later

It took you an embarrassing amout of time to find your way back to the daycare and after putting up your clothes you went to check on Sun, noticing the door to the charging station was slightly ajar and bumping it closed with your hip though you could've sworn it was closed before you left, you'd stay around in the small back room for a while, sitting with your back against the glass door of the charging station as you dusted off Moon's plushie collection, figuring he'd hate to see them like that, you finally left the room once you began to get tired "see you tomorrow" you would mumble before closing the door to the room which blended in with the foam padding of the wall, you then headed up to Sun's room and made yourself comfortable in the pillow pile, making a mental note to get a mat and maybe a few other things to make the room more livable as you dozed off slowly
