Even though she had been here a few times, twice to be exact, once for the interview and then picking up her employee package, she was still impressed by the massive building. She was even more surprised by the generosity of Wayne Enterprises. The suits would have been enough to impress her. She expected to be footing that bill. But she was pleasantly surprised when they ended up being included in her hiring package. She was also given one of the latest smartphones but didn't get too excited about it, it wasn't as if she could actually use it with her demigod status and all.

When she entered the building once more, she was struck dumb, still enthralled by the old marble and new glass lobby.

"Ms. Jackson?"

Percy looks over and sees a man waving her down. Dressed in a suit similar to hers, although even from this distance Percy could see that it was at least six times more expensive. Maybe the head of security? Percy walks over, wincing at the tapping her feet make. These would make terrible shoes to fight in, let alone sneak around in.

There was something about him that nagged Percy. Something about his stance, the way his shoulders were angled, and the way he looked her over. He was trained, that much Percy could see, even if he tried to hide it.

"Yes sir, Are you my supervisor?" She asks politely, reaching out for a handshake.

If being a 'roman' and in a war taught her anything it was the chain of command. She is a little surprised by the man's reaction. He seemed rather confused at Percy's words. He seemed to put it behind him and smiled, although Percy narrowed her eyes at him. That smile was no more real than a plastic barbie.

"Not exactly. Bruce Wayne,"

Ah, Percy thought.

"Well, that's slightly embarrassing, not knowing who my boss ultimately is," Percy says, rubbing the back of her neck.

The movement draws Bruce's eyes and he watches as the collar moves and exposes more of the scarring he had noticed when the woman first walked up to him.

"Don't worry about it. I just wanted to welcome you and apologize, it tends to be rather boring here," Bruce says, smiling that charming smile of his that is completely fake.

Percy couldn't read him, and it made her nervous. There was something about Bruce that was inherently disarming. Everything Percy knew about Bruce indicated that he was incredibly kind and generous. Besides his parent's death, he seemed rather shielded from life. But somewhere in the back of his eyes was the look of a man who had seen more than he should have. Percy would know, she had the same look.

"Ms. Jackson?" Bruce asks and Percy snaps herself out of her stupor.

"Sorry, Mr. Wayne. And please, call me Percy," She says, trying for a soft smile but feeling as if it came off as somewhat forced.

"Percy, an interesting name," Bruce asks and she frowns, thinking.

If Bruce knew her last name, then he most likely would know her first. And wasn't it odd for a CEO to be meeting a new hire in the security department? She was fairly certain he had more important things to be attending to than meeting her.

"My name is actually Persephone, but no one actually calls me that," She says, trying to be polite while trying to figure out what exactly Bruce was doing.

"Ms. Jackson? Oh, Mr. Wayne!" A voice says excitedly and Percy looks beyond Bruce, seeing a man waving to her, seeming excited.

"Hello Roy, nice of you to finally show up," Bruce says, seeming somewhat annoyed.

Looking closer, Percy could see amusement laced under his expression. Even though he tried to hide it, Bruce seemed fond of this Roy.

"Mr. Harper?" Percy asks hesitantly, guessing the man's name.

(yeah, I know Roy doesn't work at Wayne enterprises, sue me)

"Yes, sorry I am late. Sorry Ms. Jackson, Mr. Wayne I can take it from here?" Mr. Harper asks, questioning if Bruce was actually done talking.

"Alright, I'll leave Ms. Jackson in your capable hands," Bruce says, seemingly giving Mr. Harper a certain look as if to communicate with him something he didn't want Percy knowing. It was so small that Percy almost didn't notice it.

"Have a good day Mr. Wayne," Mr. Harper says, nodding his head almost imperceptibly.

Percy watches as Bruce walks away, seeming aware of every little thing going on in the lobby.

"Sorry about that Ms. Jackson. You can call me Roy," Mr. Harper says, going in for a handshake.

When Percy shakes his hand, she notices the clauses, so he was an archer. Likewise, Roy noticed the calluses on her hands reminding him of Damian's hands. They size each other up, Percy focusing more on Roy's reaction to her than trying to conceal the fact that she was trained as well. It would be dumb if she did, she was hired to be a security guard after all.

"Then you should call me Percy, everyone else does,"

"Follow me, I'll give you the tour. Afterward, you can walk the upper floors," Roy says and Percy nods, lips set in a firm line.

Elsewhere:

On the top floor of the tower, Bruce watched the monitor in front of him. Percy unsettled him. His software had flagged her the second she stepped foot in the city. Every inch of the city was covered with either police or Wayne cameras and they all had facial recognition running on them.

Once it flagged Percy and sent him a notification, he started collecting information on her as well as tracking her movements. Even with everything available, including Tim, he still had a very thin file on her. He watched her bounce from job to job, struggling to see how her past fit the seemingly kind young woman he observed today. Besides seemingly getting distracted every now and then at work, she had no other problems.

So when he saw she started working for Penguin, he was disappointed in himself. He had thought that she was genuinely a nice person. So you can imagine his relief when it turned out she was just oblivious, not a bad person. He had Gordon put up a hiring flyer before she was released from questioning. After a word with her interviewer, she was hired.

He didn't understand her, he didn't know why she had the past she did, but being in the same building, hopefully meeting each other 'casually' in the halls would help him get a better sense of her and if she was a threat to his city.
