Paglabas namin ng mall ay nagpunta na kami sa parking lot para umalis na.

"Thanks for coming with me here and helping me with my shopping bags," I told Alvin after I done putting all my bags.

"Walang anuman." He smiled to me even though he look so tired roaming the whole mall with me. He must not get used to it.

"Tonight's Damian's birthday party and you would come right?" He suddenly asked while standing in front of my car, staring at me.

"Of course, that's why I go shopping to also buy him gifts."

He nodded with my answer, "let's come together then."

"Why? Wala ka bang kasamang pumunta doon?" Takang tanong ko.

"No, I just want you to go there with my car instead, I know you will get drunk again."

"Hindi ako malalasing dahil hindi din naman ako magtatagal sa party. I'll just hand him his gifts then I leave."

"Ah, akala ko kasi magtatagal ka doon dahil it was your pinsan's party but that's right you won't get drunk." He smiled to me and get me thumbs up.

"You should go now. Have a nice night later, Alvin." I said.

"Good bye, you can now leave first, Julie." He shouted from inside his car. I nodded and leave the parking lot first.

Pagpasok ng bahay agad akong nagbihis at kumuha ng gift wrapper para maibalot na ang mga reglo na binili ko kanina. I wear a brown bodycon dress paired with black strappy heels and put my long hair on a bun and do my light makeup that I always did.

"You look dressed, Julie." Dad said when he saw me go down the stairs. He was holding a cup with his pajamas. "Where are you going?"

"It was Damian's birthday. I won't take long I will just gonan hand him his gift." I said.

"Tama 'yan. You should study more hindi kung saan-saan ka pumupunta kasama 'yang mga pinsan mo." Saad ni mommy habang kumakain.

"Let her have fun, Jamie. You should go now, hija." Daddy said.

Tumango lang ako at nagpaalam na aalis na bago naglakad na palabas. Pagpasok sa kotse ay pinaandar ko kaagad 'yon.

Pagpasok sa loob ay kaagad na hinanap
ng mga mata ko si Damian sa gitna ng karamihan. I was making my way with those people holding glasses 'cause it was crowded down here. Lumapit ako sa pamilyar na tao para magtanong kung nasaan ang lalaking hinahanap ko.

"Hi Cielo, do you know where's Damian?" Tanong ko kay Cielo nang makitang naka tayo siya sa harap nang mesa at nakikiapag sayaw sa gitna ng dance floor.

"Oh Julie, sa second floor. He just finished blowing candles. Baka nandoon pa rin sila at umiinom at bakit ka late?"

"Hindi rin ako magtatagal, thank you," nagpaalam na ako sa kan'ya para umakyat na sa taas at ngumiti lamang siya sa akin at kumaway, she's a bit tipsy.

There I saw Damian holding a champagne glass and drinking with his siblings and friends. I saw some of my other cousin's having a conversation with him. They're all sitting on a large sofa. Naglakad ako palapit sa kanila para iabot na kaniya ang regalo niya.

"Happy birthday Damian, where do I put this?" I put down the gifts on the table and sit beside him.

"Just put it down there," he smiled, pointing at the huge table sa first floor kalayuan sa table namin. All the gifts for him are there at napakarami nun.
