The next morning, everyone gathered in the cafeteria for breakfast; however, only Hanna and Taehyung had dark circles under their eyes— they hadn't slept well all night apparently.

"Whoa whoa, didn't you two sleep last night? Where did you go and what did you do in the middle of the night?" Sunhee teased and gave Hanna a flirtatious look.

"Stop it, you know I slept in the same room as you all night. Where else could I go?" Hanna slightly elbowed Sunhee in protest.

"Alright alright, but then again, the atmosphere between the two of you is a little weird today. What's the matter, did you two quarrel?" Sunhee asked curiously.

"No, we didn't! We're fine, so stop talking nonsense." Hanna retorted, and Sunhee stuck her tongue out at Hanna childishly.

Meanwhile, Taehyung looked at sleepy-eyed Hanna, who was sitting across from him, and was surprised to find that she hadn't slept well either. Why didn't she sleep well? Was she bothered by what I said? Did she worry about how to reject me all night? Did I piss her off by kissing her like that all of a sudden last night? Taehyung couldn't help but worry.

After breakfast, Hanna and Taehyung, who were low on energy, seemed absent-minded during the group activities. And when everyone finally finished their lunch, the two-day school trip came to an end. They all boarded the tour bus, ready to go back to school and be dismissed there.

This time, Sunhee deliberately chose to sit next to Jaemyung, so Hanna and Taehyung could sit together; however, the two who barely slept last night were so sleepy that they fell asleep not long after boarding the bus. The two of them slept almost all the way on the bus, leaving Sunhee and Jaemyung smiling resignedly at each other.

It was Friday, and since the school trip had just ended the day before, the school decided to give students a day off to give them a break.

Taehyung was distraught thinking about how he had to confess to Hanna, and at the same time, worried that he would get rejected, so he came to the video arcade alone this afternoon to relax. In order to play different games, Taehyung wandered between the gaming machines, and when his phone started ringing, he happened to be playing a racing game.

"Hello?" Although the game was still in progress, Taehyung decided to answer the phone for fear of missing something important, which later proved his decision to be correct.

"Hello, may I speak with Mr Kim Taehyung, please?"

"This is Kim Taehyung speaking. May I know who you are?"

"Hi, we're calling from Big Hit Entertainment. We are happy to announce that you are the only one who passed our audition in Daegu, so please find time this weekend to come to our office in Seoul with your parents to sign a contract with us. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you."

"Really? Are you sure? What should I do, I can't believe it! Thank you so much! I mean, I'm sincerely grateful from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for giving me a chance, and I'll see you this weekend!" Taehyung jumped up and down with excitement, unable to believe what he just heard.

Without waiting for the racing game to end, Taehyung rushed out of the video arcade and ran all the way home, eager to share the good news with his family.

As soon as he got home and saw his grandmother sitting in the living room, Taehyung shouted avidly, "Grandma! I got in! I passed the audition! I'm going to Seoul this weekend to sign the contract!"

To Taehyung's surprise, his grandmother was not as excited as he was.

"You're being scammed, baby bear," Taehyung's grandmother shook her head and sighed, "They are scammers who specialize in bamboozling kids like you who want to be idols."

Is that what Grandma thinks...? Taehyung thought that his grandmother would be very happy for him when she heard the news, but never did he expect her to react like this. He was a little disappointed, but at the same time, he couldn't help but wonder if the call was actually a scam call. The staff told me that I was the only one who passed the audition in Daegu... could that be true? Were they trying to scam me, just as Grandma said?

When Taehyung's father came home fifteen minutes later, Taehyung told him about the phone call he had received, as well as his grandmother's thoughts on the matter.

"Your grandmother was right, it must be a fraud," Taehyung's father said with a serious look on his face, "They're just trying to use your dream of becoming an idol to scam you out of your money. How can 2AM be at Big Hit Entertainment when everyone knows that they are from JYP Entertainment?" (A/N: The group 2AM was co-managed by JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment, but they were better known as artists from JYPE.)

"Dinner's ready, go wash your hands and prepare to eat!" Taehyung's mother said as she was bringing out dinner from the kitchen, "Regarding the audition, we can ask your father to call them back after dinner to talk to them. If it's actually a fraud, I'm sure your father will be able to tell."

Taehyung nodded, agreeing that it was a good idea. And so, Taehyung handed his phone to his father after dinner, and together they called the so-called Big Hit Entertainment staff back.

During the call, Taehyung's father briefly stated his identity and expressed his concerns; fortunately, the staff was very understanding and patiently explained to Taehyung's father that Big Hit was not a scam gang, but a legit agency, which reassured him.

After confirming that Taehyung really passed the audition, Taehyung's father decided to take Taehyung to Seoul to sign the contract on Sunday, which was two days later.

Taehyung's eyes lit up upon hearing this news, grinning excitedly; however, little did he know about what awaited him, and how this decision was going to change his life.

Here's chapter eighteen!!

Under the influence of depression, I hadn't been motivated to do anything for the past few weeks so I temporarily stopped writing, and I'm very sorry for that. But thanks to Tzu who's been calling me every day for the past few days, I finally started to feel better again and found the motivation to write, so special thanks must be given to her ♡ (BTW please check her newest webtoon out if you haven't already!! I swear you're going to love it because it's amazing!!)

Anyways, some readers may find this chapter a little familiar, and the reason is that I wrote it with reference to the true story of how Taehyung signed up with Big Hit!! If you look it up on google, you'll find that Taehyung once shared that his family initially thought the call from Big Hit was a scam call, so he was so close to not being a member of BTS. But thank God he ended up joining Big Hit because if it weren't for that, this story also wouldn't exist and our lives would be so much emptier :')

As always, thank you so much for your continued support!! I sincerely appreciate every read, comment and vote, and I promise I'll pick myself back up asap, so I'll see you in the next chapter!!
