Y/N's POV:

I heard the front door open and being locked.

I swallowed hard, not moving from my spot on the couch in front of the T.V.
A football game was on and even though I knew nothing of what was going on during it, I continued to watch and study it. It had been playing for about an hour now, and I still had yet to move.

Footsteps could be heard coming towards the living room.

I still didn't move.

I didn't know how to face Jungkook right now, after all my crying and pathetic actions he had witnessed.
I mean, he figured out that I was in love with Namjoon.

How embarrassing!

As if I didn't already have enough to regret.

I didn't turn, just reached out and grabbed my half empty beer bottle off the coffee table. I took a drink.
With me sitting on one side of the couch with my legs curled up beside me, Jungkook's large frame came and sat on the other end.

Silence fell on us as I tried to focus on the game again.
His presence made that impossible.
I couldn't help but to notice him.

He was so powerful, even with him just sitting there.
His body took up a lot of space and my feet were almost touching his hips.
Never had I been so amazed by the sheer size of a man.

"How's the game been?"
his deep, scruffy voice broke the silence. I still didn't look at him.

"Good. Miami is up by seven points against GreenBay."

"Nice. Who are you rooting for?"

"No one, really."

I took another drink and sighed.

"Then why are you watching it?"

he asked, curious.
I shrugged.

"My mom used to like watching it."

He didn't say anything right away.
I could see him focus on the T.V. for a moment, before his voice boomed again next to me.

"What down is it?"

I sniffed and slowly shrugged.

"No clue. I just know they just got to the line with a 40 on it."

I could see him look at me after my comment.

"Miami on offense or defense?"

he asked as if he knew I wouldn't know the answer.

"I have no idea."

"Do you even understand football?"

he finally asked. I sighed and finally let my eyes roam over to him.

He looked tired; worn.
His tie was loosened, his jacket had been taken off.
Yet, I could see a small hint of curiosity in his eyes towards me.

"Not at all."

A crack of a smile played on his lips and I was taken aback. It was a glimpse of a real smile.
Not some grin, or smirk, or even a front.

A real small smile.

"You're mom likes to watch, yet she hasn't explained it to you?"
he asked.

"My mom is dead."
I told him bluntly.

I wished I could lessen the blow of how I said it, but honestly, I was tired of beating around the bush about the truth.
It has made me nothing but broken. As sudden as his smile had come, it faded into a frown. His expression was almost neutral.
