ITZY member Sora has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. Below is the official statement of JYP Entertainment regarding the news.
"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We are here to inform you that ITZY's Sora has tested positive for COVID-19. On February 12, she took a PCR test and received a negative test. She then went into self-quarantine, however, two days later, she was rushed to the hospital after complaining of chest pain and fever.
After the group's contact with a positive person, Sora separately met an acquaintance who later turned out to be symptomatic. Sora has completed two doses of the vaccine and is now taking treatment at a hospital. We will do our best to help with the treatment and recovery as we put the health of our artists as our top priority.
Thank you."
As of February 14, ITZY's Lia also tested positive for the virus. The entertainment agency has canceled the group's third-anniversary live broadcast to focus on the members' treatment and quarantine.
