"Pillow Party"
A bit into the sleepover, you and the others are having a grand time, laughing and talking about all sorts of things until you hear a familiar grumbling sound coming from your stomach.
You blush profusely. How embarrassing. "So, food?" Camilo gets up first, dusting himself off. "I could go for some
snacks." The others murmur in agreement and we all file out of the location to get some snacks.
As you were about to leave however, Isabela grabs your wrist. "Isa—!" You get cut off by a plant on her arm scratching you. You wince. Ouch. "Sorry!" She lets you go. "I thought you'd like a more fun way to go down the tree." A.. more fun way?
She asks you to hold on tight to her and she materializes a literal VINE out of no where. You scream as you and her vault off the tree holding on to the vine. You close your eyes waiting for death.
"Relax!" She says. After a moment of wind in your face, you feel solid ground under your toes again. You open your eyes to see an amused Isabela, a scowling Camilo and a concerned Mirabel looking back at you. Again! You embarassed yourself. You coughed awkwardly.
Camilo walks by your side and wraps his arm around you. "Come hermosa! Let's go find some snacks while Mira and Miss Green Arms over there go find something else to do!" He says boisterously. You laugh and the two of you walk away looking for snacks. Mirabel and Isabela turn away talking about Antonio.
"What's the big deal, so she grew a vine and swung down.." Camilo muttered uber his breath. You held down a chuckle from it. Adorable. For these moments, you decided to forget about your sleeping mother, Dolores' hearing, and everything else.
He whips up a bowl of popped corn kernels. "Here you go." He turns into Julieta. "Wait no I didn't mean to do that." He shakes his head and turns back into himself. "This stuff is good. I call it popcorn." You grin and take a few kernels in your mouth.
The buttery flavors seemed to melt in your mouth. You squeal in adoration. "This is so good! You're as good as Julieta!" You continue shoveling more in your mouth. Camilo laughs heartily. "Good to know someone acknowledges my strength!" He also reaches in to shovel popcorn in his mouth.
"What on Earth are you two doing?" You turn, mouth still full of popcorn to see Mirabel cracking up. "You eat like you haven't eaten for weeks!" Camilo shakes his head. "You fail to understand my culinary genius."
You hold out the bowl to her. "You and Isa can come eat this stuff too! Camilo made it. He calls it popcorn!" Mirabel hesitantly puts one in her mouth but after the first few kernels she placed in her mouth, she was instantly converted to the dark side.
While all this was going on, you began feeling a little concerned. Where's Antonio? And Isabela?
