Avni's Pov
I was sitting in my cabin reading a patient's file.
There was knock on my door.
"Come in" I said
"Ma'am , have sweets." A ward boy said smiling at me.
I took a piece and said
"Thank you, but what is the reason of distributing these"
"Ma'am , I have been blessed with a baby girl yesterday" He replied smiling proudly.
"Wow, that's so nice. Congratulations"
"Thank you ma'am and congratulations to you too" he said
I looked at him confused.
"For your marriage ma'am"
"Oohh, th..thanks" I said unsure.
Yup...people here knew that I am married. Well, thanks to the chura and nupital chain. But the good thing is that they don't know who I am married to nor do I want them to.
He left my cabin.
Marriage....huhh..this was the word that turned my life upside down just within those 10 days.
Flashback:
I came back into my cabin and sat on my chair.
The surgery was hectic, but I am so happy that I was able to save the patient.
I looked at my phone and it had 5 missed calls from mom and 3 from dad.
What happened...both mom and dad are calling me.
I called back mom first.
"Where were you Avi, I have been calling you since I don't know....a hour or so" She said as soon as she picked up
"Mom relax okk..I am a doctor. I was in the operation theatre. Now, tell me what happened...why...why are you and dad calling me " I replied tiredly
"Come home Asap. We have something important to discuss you" She said sternly.
"What...why" I said
"You don't cross question me...just come back home." She said a cut the call.
Now what the actual fuck do they want.
Ughhh...I don't have a good feeling about this.
And for a reason I know it's going to be for their own benefit.
I informed my co-ordinator and left.
I parked my car in the driveway and went inside.
There they were... sitting on the dinning table waiting for me.
"Freshen up and come downstairs. We need to discuss something important with you" Dad said.
Yaa right...no hi or hello. Just freshen up and come. Great.
I went downstairs and sat.
"So...." I said
"Yaa....we have..we have decided to get you married" Dad said
Was I shocked? Hell No
Was I hurt ? Hell Yes
Well, I have always expected him to say something like this...but deep down I have always wished he would never.
But today , I was proven wrong.
" And to whom" I asked controlling my tears.
"Won't you throw tantrums and say something" Mom asked.
I just sadly smiled at what she said.
"You really expect me to do that. Ask yourself, you very well know why I am not saying anything to you" I said
"No..this is..." Dad began
"Oh , cut it short please. Don't give me we are doing it for your own good or you'll be happy, we want to see you happy crap. I don't want that" I said getting a bit angry.
" Avni this is not a way to spe....." Both mom and dad began
"Back to my question. Who is the guy"? I said interrupting them.
I was seriously in no mood for their lectures.
" Siddharth Khurana" They said.
"The billionaire Businessman" I asked
"Yes" they said.
The whole freaking world knows that Siddharth Khuranna has a girlfriend. Are they out of their mind.
"There is no way in hell I am marrying him. He has a girlfriend for god's sake" I said
" Yaa...he does. But...but he won't after marriage ofcourse" Mom said
"And how are you so sure about that. Did he say that himself" I asked angrily
"No...but they are coming tomorrow. And I know him... he'll listen to his dad ofcourse and get married" Dad replied
"Ohh ya..and what if he loves her so much that he doesn't. Why are you both so keen on destroying my life" I said
" Mind your toung young lady. We aren't destroying your life. You did that own your own years ago" dad said getting angry.
That did it.
"Fine...how can I forget I never had a choice and I never will have a choice. Go ahead. Do whatever you want. But do remember...if anything happens in future...you guys will be forever responsible for destroying your one and only daughter's life" I said angrily and left.
How could they do that to me.
What I am even thinking. They have always been like this.
Hadn't my grandparents being alive at that time...they would have defiantly forced me for taking up dad's business.
I know after what happened in Australia...they would surely force me to marry someone....even if I don't want to.
But never knew that they would be marrying me to a man who already has someone in his life.
Why are they doing this to me ??
What is the reason??
Thinking about all this..I slept.
