It soon becomes our turn to pray at the shrine and ring the bell. Kusuo gives me 5 yen to put in the offering box and lets me ring the bell.
I finish praying, all I asked for was for the well-being of me and my family. I can get myself anything anyways with my powers.
I look over to my right where dad and mom were praying.
"Please let me win something like 200 million yen in the lottery!" Dad thought.
Kusuo then starts to pray.
"please let me have a quiet new year's."

"oh? Hey Saiki and Saiki-chan!!!" Kaidou interrupted Kusuo's thoughts and looked at us each while greeting us. "wHat a sMALl WOrLD tHIS iS"
"the new year's just started and an annoying guy shows up..." Kusuo sighs.
"His scarf is so long that it's being dragged on the floor..." I say.
"Visiting a shrine for new year's, huh? I just happened to be passing by." Kaidou was interrupted by my parent's staring.

"No! thats not it, I prayed that they'd have lots of friends! My prayer had already been answered!!"
"WHAT" me and Kusuo say in unison
That's the biggest lie i've heard all year.

"Well then, I shall go converse with God."
Well he certainly stopped stuttering.
"ah, kaidou is such a good kid~" mom complimented.
"yup, although, he's dragging his scarf, so..."
Their standards are waay too high.
'Saiki and Y/n's parents are a bit strange... but they're pretty nice!'
Kaidou thought, and then bowed.
'I hope I have a lot of friends...'

"Oh, hey Kaidou!!" I heard somebody shout from behind. It's Hairo.
"Oh you two are here too? Hello there and happy new year's!!" this mf aint even close to dressing for new year's. hes wearing a gym t-shirt.
'IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THIS IS THE RESULT OF MY PRAYER EARLIER?!' Kakadoui thought.
"Y-Yeah! happy new year's too you too!" Kaidou said.
"Are you three visiting the shrine to pray? I'm here for that too!-"
Hairo was cut off my mom and dad's squealing. Mom was behind me, looking over me while holding both my shoulders, dad was with Kusuo.
"uh, Saiki-kun? who are those two?"

"Ohhhh So you guys are Saiki and Y/n's parents!!" Hairo shouted. "I'm hairo! Kusuo's class rep! Kusuo is always helping me out!"
"HES A SUPER GOOD KIDD" Mom and dad say simultaneously.

"yea, though he's dressed up for summer." Kusuo comments.
"To think that my kids have so many friends!!!" Mom cried.
again, i have nothing to do with these guys.
"SINCE WHEN DO YOU HAVE SUCH GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS!?" Dad also cried.
"they just follow me around on their own" Kusuo says.
"i'm gonna go see what Hairo-kun's gonna wish for"

"Oh? HEY GUYS!!!" a familiar voice came from behind me. it's nendou (sadly). we all turn our attention to him.
"Hey, what're you guys doing here?"
"Nendou-kun!" Dad said excitedly.
"oh, HEY PAL'S MOM AND DAD!!"
'I-IS IT POSSIBLE?' Hairo thought, 'SO THE ONE WHO'LL BECOME MY FORMIDABLE ALLY IS-'
"NENDOU! do you play tennis?" Hairou asked.
"no, but im probably like, really good at it."
"I'm suprised that many prayers have been answered." I say,
"Well, It's probably all just a coincidence..." Kusuo says.
"...Because mine hasn't been answered at all."
