Boom.

Marinette's eyes flew open, her hands stretched out for something (or someone?) who wasn't there. She tried to take a deep breath; and failed. Cotton fabric was clinging to her nose and mouth like some kind of gag.

She tried to grab the cloth; but her hand wouldn't reach. Her hand, in fact, wouldn't move. It was handcuffed with her other, respective hand against a wall of some sort.

Her eyes widening slightly, she turned her head. Chains.

Shit.

She was trapped.

Marinette knew there was one thing she could do.

"Tiki," she cried, muffled by the thick cloth. "Spots on!"

No response.

Nothing.

Marinette waited.

And waited.

No hope.

She tried again. "Tiki, spots on!"

Nothing.

She rubbed her shoulder against her ears, attempting to "wake up" whatever magic resided in them. She felt for them, and then; nothing. She rubbed again.

There was nothing there.

The miraculous was gone.

yup.
