Countryballs headcanons

In my headcanon, Countryhumans and Countryballs exist together. Countryballs being some sort of tiny creatures, completely different from CH. Just like yet another species but strangely linked to CH in a way.

So, I thought I should give headcanons about how they behave and simply are.

There are a lot about FredlyBall and RussanyBall but that was to be expected, they're also are my OCs after all.

- Balls are linked to their countryhuman versions ; they have similar personalities, interests...
They also have the same characteristics (like scars and eyepatches).

- The size of the balls is defined by the country's territory's mass. For instance, RussiaBall is really big and massive while LuxembourgBall is so small he could fit in a hand.

- Balls are versions of countries or anything else that have a territory, a flag and a population like a region, a state, a city... Just like CH basically.

- Balls are like cats : they sleep a lot, are independent even if they need someone to take care of them and they purr when they're pet or witness of any form of affection towards them.

- I haven't decided yet if balls in this headcanon should reproduce or not but I already made FredlyBall officially go through periods of heat. When she's in heat she usually humps (in a weirdly innocent way) other balls or random objects like a horny rabbit which is low-key cute-

- FredlyBall can only eat plastic bags. She usually doesn't seem appealed by real food and when she tries to eat some, she spits it out. Let's just say she's our probable solution to end sea pollution by plastic bags. But don't forget to wash them before giving them to her, she's not quite fond of salty plastic.

- FredlyBall is the only ball with hair. Yet, she doesn't feel them as humans do. If you grab her by the hair, she won't feel any pain, just the sensation of being lifted. She won't like it anyway because she prefers being held securely.

- Balls, depending on their size, can bite pretty harshly. A ball like FredlyBall can bite your fingers or skin off with full force. Just imagine what bigger, and stronger, balls can do now.

- Balls are intelligent enough to live alone but because they can't pick things up and the size for some of them, they pretty much need someone to take care of them their whole life. They also want to be taken care of instinctively.

- Ball versions of dead countries can still be alive. They will only seem depressed, be heavier than normal and less active (they will most likely stay still in a corner most of the day, not even sleeping).

- FredlyBall is usually a sweet ball but she can rapidly become violent if she, or RussanyBall, get hurt by someone on purpose, which is the same behavior as Fredly.
When she got hurt accidently however, she will just squeak in a sad way to make you feel sorry for her, which is also something Fredly would do-

- Balls communicate by making squeaks and noises that can be understood by other balls but not humans. Other than that, they mostly use body language like other animals.
They are really expressive none of the less, maybe more than some humans.

- Balls are the perfect beings between humans and other species of animals.

- FredlyBall is the size of a pufferfish (like the one in the carrot fish video) but a little bit bigger. She can be held with both hands.
On the other hand, RussanyBall is almost the same size as LuxembourgBall.

- Balls are squishy, they don't mind being used as stress balls if they are social enough. But squishing them too hard or too much can hurt them.

- Balls can be cannibals but this behavior is unhealthy, especially for the one who's getting eaten.

- FredlyBall and RussanyBall are (apparently) the first and only ball couple (in the human sense of it).

- Balls' diets are often based on their countryhuman versions'. For example, LorraineBall is drinking lots of eau de vie, like Lorraine.
This doesn't apply to FredlyBall and Fredly, since Fredly doesn't eat plastic bags, she eats real food.

- Balls understand languages that their CH version speak (e.g : GermanyBall only understand German and English) but obviously can't speak it.

- Balls have no notions of family, only some kind of hierarchy between countries and their sub-nations (like CH) and friendship / close relationships.

- FredlyBall is considered as the odd one in "the ball community" because of her hair, her plastic bag diet and the fact that it as being scientifically proven that she is biologically closer to countryhumans than countryballs. (We did this in a rp, don't judge me)

- Some balls aren't balls but have other shapes.

- Balls can't roll on their side. When they sleep they stay in the same position as they are while they're awake, just releasing some of their weight so they look like they are melting.
