These are my personal interpretations, I do not claim making an entire canon for everyone. This is how I see thing...
This is the first part of what I would call "compilations", which will be, like the name suggests, a compilation of multiple headcanons I published as Instagram stories. I've already done something of the sort before but the screenshots were simply a starting point for me to develop the ideas more, with only a few exceptions. Here, the main of the main are in the screenshots, even if I do need to add details outside of it and an introduction.
Due to the medium, it's highly probable that some typos will be present and I apologize.
I decided to start with Lorraine, and anything linked with her family, departments and cities, because I made them into full fetched characters to which I gave a certain importance in my hc. And since they aren't really known in this fandom, I have to put more efforts to present them than other characters.
I've given already a lot of information in my hc rambling chapter in the part about Alsace-Lorraine, so here, most of the introduction is pretty simple and straight forward. ______________________________________
Lorraine herself

Lorraine is currently a lesser territory belonging to France, since when the latter got her back in 1919 with her sister Alsace.
She's the legitimate biological daughter of Alsace-Lorraine and the illegitimate biological daughter of the German Empire. She's also the latest descendant of the Grand Duchy of Lorraine, and so of the earlier Lotharingia.
Her current status is region, more specifically an "old" region, since the apparition of the "new" regions, but it doesn't change much to her actual status (and I refuse doing anything with them).
She herself owns four lesser territories, departments : Moselle, Vosges, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Meuse.

Moselle was the Duchy of Lorraine's younger sister, she is mainly known for being the only Lorrainer territory to have been taken as part of the Reichsland Elsass-Lothringen after the annexation by the German Empire, and so the only Lorraine representative on the German side from 1871 to 1919.
