Gracefully, your blade cut the rock in half easily, like butter.

You stared in shock, eyes widened and mouth agape.

You blinked a few times, before a smile graced your face.

"I really did it! I won't be left behind after all"

Getting closer to the boulder, you gently traced the edges as your smile softened.

"Suck on that boulder, no one  can beat me! I'm like,, totally unstoppable"

You said with your hand on your hip and you did a sassy hair flip.

"Anyways, time to stare at Sabito's pretty face"

And then you skipped off into the direction of clashing swords.

You arrived to the two and you peeked out from a tree and watched.

'don't wanna accidentally mess something up... again..'

Staring at the two boredly, you picked at your nails while waiting.

Then you heard a hushed voice from behind you

"Are you watching them?"

You almost let out a shriek, as you jumped back.

Looking at the person who scared you, finally, they were here.

'WOAHAAH- I'd let you step on me any day of the week, sheesh'

"I-uhm yEah- I mean yeah uhm I'm watching"

'Total failure, you idiot'

She gave a soft giggle

"I'm Makomo"

Looking down slightly in shame, you shyly introduced yourself

"I'm Y/n L/n, please call me Y/n"

She nodded and looked at the two boys again.

You did the same thing, but you didn't really focuse on the spar, it was more of a way to escape the conversation

"Do you know them?"

You blinked

"Well, yeah. What kind of weirdo stares at strangers fighti-" Then suddenly a few fights from your old school flashed in your mind.

"Never mind... Yeah I know them"

She gave a soft smile

'how can you smile at me? im making zero sense.'

You lookwd back over to the girl, and opened your mouth, about to ask a question, when you heard a loud sound.

Diverting your attention back to the battle, you pouted.

"Whatt? No, I totally missed that! This sucks.. "

Even though you missed the cut that determined everything, you were excited to see the pretty boy's face

You watched as the mask fell from his face, with the cut boulder diagonal from him.

He gave a proud smile and congratulated him

Except, he didn't disappear, like you know, a ghost would do?

"huh? " you whispered out

"What's wrong? aren't you excited?"

You blinked a few times.

'he's alive? ' you thought

A smile spread quickly onto your face and turned around and shook Makomo by her shoulders roughly

"I- MAKOMO HE DID IT!"

"Uh-huh i-im soo h-appy for the both o-f youuou"

Her words jumbled due to the aggressive shaking, but you understood enough.

"please stop shaakiing meEe"

"Oh, right, yeah. Can do. I totally realized that"

Slightly patting her shoulders, you turned around and ran to the two boys.

They were already staring at you, due to your outburst.

Tanjiro cleared his throat when you neared

"Ahem, So, Y/n, did you cut your boulder? "

"You know it!"

He looked shocked for a split second but then he smiled.

"I'm glad, but how did you do it so easily? I could've swore you never touched the rock even once while training. "

".. Yknow, honestly I have no clue."

He opened his mouth in a shocked expression, unable to get any words out.

"Guess I'm just lucky" You said, giving a cocky smile while sweeping your hair behind your ear.

"But anyways, I'm really glad we can go to Final Selection together. I couldn't do it without you"

He blushed and gave a small "me too" before turning his head downwards, away from you

Shrugging, you walked over to Sabito

"Sabito, you're an amazing teacher.. Also you're really pretty"

You patted his shoulder, with a small smile.

"Alright Tanjiro, time to tell Urokodaki of our success"

He gave his signature smile once again and raised his head to you.

"Right, let's go"

You nodded and went over to his form and waved goodbye to the two former students

"Bye Sabito and Makomo, see you later"

Then you ran off into the sunset really dramatically and romantically.

and fell.

honestly i didn't like this chapter that much, but anyways sorry for the not updating! I just really haven't felt like it and im currently doing testing for school
