Next day
Chanelles P.O.V
I woke up the next morning and limped to the shower. I'm tired as HELL! For one I was up for half the night getting all this extra credit work done. Because for some odd reason all my teachers wait last minute to give me all this fuvkin work. It was a lot but I'm an honor student. So I have to do it. And I did it. no questions asked. it wasn't too hard anyway. Second reason is cuz Hakeem wore my ass OUT. Again. But what else is new?
I have a doctors appointment for my first ultrasound today and I'm nervous as hell. I mean I'm a little excited because today is the day I get to see the first ultrasound of the baby. But on the other hand I'll be all by myself. And I know when I get back later on tonight, Hakeem's gonna be asking me where I was and why I was gone all day. And I know I'm just gonna be lying to him. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
I came out the bathroom with my towel wrapped around me. I tip toed over to keems closet and grabbed an outfit that could fit me. I already had my bra and panties on so I just needed to slip his clothes on. I pulled the khaki shorts up and tied them with a belt when I heard him shifting in the bed. I looked over at him to see he was still asleep. I let out a breath of relief as I continued to get dressed.
"Where you goin?" Hakeem's deep voice asks startling me. I held my chest as I tried to calm myself. While I was trying to stop from having a heart attack I tried to think of a quick lie.
"Uh...I h-have to go uh... P-pick Tamia up. F-From the Dollhouse. Because treys at football practice. So I have to go pick her up." I stutter.
"What time you gon come back?" He sat up.
"Umm maybe a little later than 5:00. 5:30. Somewhere around there."
"The Dollhouse only a few blocks away. Why the hell its gone take so long." He watches me pull his hoodie over my head.
"Why is it gonna take me so long? Psh, Uh. I-It's gonna take so long because...Umm I have to meet with Ms.D about some of the things, about the things, for the things. You know?" I ask him.
"No. I don't." He looks at me weirdly. I started explaining while walking backwards to his door.
"Oh well. You know it's more something for a girl to understand. Because guys just don't know-" I bumped into the door and searched for the doorknob while trying to act normal.
"Oh. Yeah i-it's more of a girl and a Dancing Doll thing. So you know. Okay? Okay. Bye babe." I walked out the door nervously and ran down the steps.
I know that whole explanation gon have his mind fuvked up but I was nervous! When I lie I get nervous. And when I get nervous I sound like Mush-mouth from 'Fat Albert'. I can't help it.
I headed over to my house so I could get my car when I seen Dayvon driving by. I waved to him and he pulled up beside me. I know I WAS mad at him but I got over it. He's my big brother and I know he's just trying to help. Even though he got a crazy ass way of helping, I know he only does what he thinks is best for me.
"Wassup? Where you been?" He asks. I shrug.
"Nowhere... Hakeem's house." I say causing him to roll his eyes.
"Don't be like that." I protest. He just shrugs.
"Why you out hear walkin. This early in the morning?" He looks at me then my outfit.
"I was goin back to the house so I could get my car. I gotta doctor appointment in like 45 minutes. So..." I explain while watching the other cars that passed by.
"Get in. I'll take you to get your car." He says before unlocking the doors. I got in and sat back.
"Why Hakeem ain't going witchu?" Dayvon asks me. Before I could answer he spoke again.
