After Jaheem finished cleaning his room we went to IHOP to grab something to eat. Tamia and I had a lot of cooking to do. We would grill most of tomorrow but in the mean time we got to do how we do it in the south. We gon throw down. Everything be handmade.
Once we'd gotten back home it was around 9:00 pm. My mother decided to leave once we got there but she said she'd be back in the morning. After she said her goodbyes to everyone I gave the kids a bath and afterwards I tucked them in my bed. They fell asleep in my room watching tv with Deandre who'd finally gotten home around 9:45. Once the twins were bathed and taken care of I went back to Tamia who was face timing Trey. Once she seen me come down the steps she hung up the phone and we proceeded to the kitchen.
"Aight, you ready Nelle?" Tamia asks sighing.
"You know what grandmama always says... Always be ready for what pops off in the kitchen. Bein southern women you ain't got no choice but to." I smile remembering the words of my grandmother of whom I miss dearly.
"Aight baby boo lets get it." She said as she went to one side of the counter and I went to the other.
We cooked and baked for hours. So far we'd already made greens, turkey, Mac and cheese, chitlins, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and homemade gravy. By now Deandre and the twins were up. Probably considering Ginuwine 'Differences' was blasting through my speaker.
"Havin fun?" Deandre asks as he came in the kitchen with the kids following him. I smiled at him.
"Tuh! I wish. When did yall get up?" I ask as I started to set catfish in the burning grease.
"About three throwback songs ago." He states annoyed.
"Tamia did it!" I state pointing at her with wide eyes.
"You snitching hoe!" She threw a leaf at me. I kissed my teeth.
"You music blastin, big forehead havin, man/child waker upper!" I retort while picking the leaf up and smacking it onto her forehead.
"You know what!" She called as she began to run after me. I screamed as I ran away from her and around the counter. Jaheem seeemed uninterested and tired so he went back upstairs without saying a word. Justice went to the kennel room probably to play with Rosé. And Deandre just shook his head and went into the living room. Well just leave me to die, huh babe? I thought to myself as I ran around the counter away from Tamia multiple times. Justice came back in the kitchen to see what was going on.
"Ooh!! Mommy you said we can't run in the kitchen." Justice said stopping me.
"Yeah mommy! No running in the kitchen!" Tamia teased me. I glare at her.
"Tamia fuck you!" I say accidentally. I covered my mouth as soon as I said it.
Justice covered her mouth in shock.
"Wait! Justice, baby I ain't mean to say-" I was cut off by her running to the living room. I chased after her trying to stop her from telling.
"Daddy mommy cussed!" Justice snitched. I glared at her and shook my head.
"She did?" He asks sitting up from the couch and glaring up at me.
"Uh huh." She nods as he puts her in his lap.
I cannot believe my child is snitchin on me right now.
"What did she say?" He asks her.
"She said to auntie Tamia, F-U-C-K you." Justcie spelled the word out.
Deandres mouth dropped as he played at being shocked. He set Justice down without taking his eyes off of me.
