I actually didn't think this whole vacation thing through. For one, I'm really not on vacation seeing that I have so many other ventures that I dabble in. However, not having to think about my dad's company has honestly been a major relief.

I wouldn't characterize myself as a workaholic; but I must admit that staying idle was never on my agenda. I learnt early on in high school that the devil finds work for idle hands. So I always aspire to be busy. And that's why I'm currently sitting in this meeting with the twins a day before my flight leaves for Florida.

We have been going over the strategies that I have outlined for QuikShip, the shipping company that we co-own. This was Leo's baby and we decided to join forces to make it happen. It has been in operation for almost 3 years now and profits has been soaring over the past 2. Jamaicans are now deep into the online shopping market and I'm happy that we broke into the industry at the time that we did.

"I finally finalized a new customs link, seeing that them fire Troy." Leah spoke.

I nodded to let her know that I'm listening while I text Pierre my Accountant about what he will need for Cryptic's paperwork and bank account. I've been actively pushing to get as much of the ground work to formalize my business as possible seeing that I have less than a month before going back to T.D. Grant.

Initially, I had intended to man the fort myself. However, I've been giving Shanique a few tasks to do for my clients and she has been performing really well with my guidance. She is also very good at meeting the deadlines that she sets out for herself and has a key eye for detail. If she continues at this rate, I am strongly considering creating a role for her in my company. I would be a fool to pass up on such a gem.

"What's his name? Does he understands fully what we need from him?" Leo questions Leah. Honestly, I trust Leah's judgement when it comes to these things. She knows everybody from the crooked politicians down to the man who collects our garbage. If she brings someone in on the operation then, the are good at what they do.

Running a shipping company is no easy feat and with the way custom set, everything can't be done by the books. Troy was our guy for the past 3 years but apparently he started to get greedy and someone ratted him out. With us finally finding his replacement, we can now move forward with everything we have set out for the new year.

After finalizing our meeting I quickly texted Shan to see if she was done with her class. She had to go to school today so I wanna go pick her up and spend some time seeing that's she's staying in Papine tonight.

Yes, come spend some time with your man. You not seeing me for a whole week, let me treat you to lunch.

"Yo bro!" Leo called as I headed to the parking lot. I stopped and wait for him to reach me as I check the time.
