Tommy was thinking hard, and he knew that he was thinking hard because his head hurt like crazy. That and he was mumbling to himself like a lunatic while the sun set down the mountain and everything went dark. Well, technically, he was talking to Sapnap and George but they were ignoring him and the only times they did respond were to make fun of his raccoon ears and tail.

"And why, do you think, did Tubbo ditch me?"

"He ditched you?", Sapnap sneered.

George added, "Because you're bad."

"Shut up, Gogy," Tommy snapped at him.

He really didn't want to talk to them, but Techno and Wilbur - and Dream - were out patrolling, Tubbo ditched him at the ice cream shop and hadn't returned since, and Ranboo had suddenly disappeared a couple of hours ago.

The front doors swung open and in marched the mouse who was apparently very smart and apparently very psychotic. Tommy didn't believe that anyone could be more psychotic than... well, basically all of the adults in the Dream SMP, except for Philza of course - Philza was a healer of the mind and soul.

"Is Mr. Arai Makoto upstairs?", the mouse - Nezu - asked.

Why was he looking for Ranboo?

Tommy tried to act nonchalant - like how Techno was 24/7. "Well, why are you looking for Makoto?" He attempted to remember the mouse's name. "Nezu?"

Sapnap shrugged at the mouse - Nezu. George completely ignored him.

The mouse gave them a bright - if not slightly irked - smile before heading off towards the stairs.

Tommy was silent for a moment, partially annoyed at how the mouse had ignored him. George and Sapnap, who had been talking to each other previously, were strangely quiet as well.

"Hey, Tommy," Sapnap suddenly spoke up.

Tommy turned to them. They looked bothered.

"Do you-."

Sapnap paused as if reconsidering asking Tommy of all people. Tommy couldn't blame him.

"You got a big secret to tell, ey, Sapnap?", Tommy was tempted to put on his annoying smile and ask. Instead, he asked softly, as if he would to a crying Tubbo, "What's wrong?"

The two gave him a weird look before Sapnap sighed and said, almost grudgingly, "Do you know where Dream went? He's been-."

"Look, I'll help but I really have no idea-." Ranboo's voice rang out from the hallway.

"Never mind", Sapnap quickly mumbled.

Tommy barely heard him. He was too busy rushing over to Ranboo.

Ranboo seemed perfectly fine physically. No one was touching him. There were no restraints on his wrists or feet. No gun to his head or taser to his back. But his face was filled with invisible screams of "I don't want to be here." Plus, Nezu was smiling, and Tommy was all too familiar with that sort of smile - the kind that entailed torturing minors for fun.

He pulled Ranboo away from the mouse and the mouse's bodyguards - two buff dudes whose names Tommy couldn't be bothered to remember.

"What are you doing to Makoto?!" Tommy glared at them ferociously.

Nezu seemed calm, and that p*ssed off Tommy even more. He had seen the mouse shivering before Dream, tense and on edge in front of Wilbur, and genuinely frightened when faced with Technoblade. So why was Nezu so perfectly calm when he, TommyInnit, was glaring at him with all of his might?

Ranboo pushed him away gently. "It's fine Tommy. They just wanted to ask some-."

Tommy saw the half-enderman's gaze drift to the fireplace in the corner.

"Pretty fire", was all he said before looking back to Nezu. His hands stuffed themselves into his pockets.

The mouse glared at him, "Hands out."

As Ranboo began to comply, Tommy, out of pure spite, shoved them back in. "No Ranboo, you keep them in. What's wrong with you, man?! You're going to let a f*cking animal push you around?"

Nezu coughed loudly.

"Shut the F*CK up, you weasel b*tch."

Nezu coughed louder. The line at his mouth tensed.

Oh, he's p*ssed off now, Tommy thought devilishly.

"Mr. Makoto", Nezu was being polite, paws behind his back, tone level.

Ranboo nodded, infuriating Tommy once again.

"Makoto!"

"It's fine, Tomi. He just wants to ask some questions."

"About what?"

"Uh...". Ranboo's face went blank. "I... should know", he said finally.

"Know what?"

The door into the building swung open and in stepped Tubbo, wrapped in a big red cloak. But the voice was gruff and had an American accent.

"Hachi. Takeshi."

Technoblade appeared beside Tubbo, towering over the shivering boy. He seemed to be holding something behind him.

"Hey Tomi." His gaze drifted to the spot beside Tommy. "And Mr. President Nezu. Hey! I was just looking for you, Nezu. Sir! You got any healthcare?"

He was covered in red, splotches of crimson dying his clothing like clouds, and drops of the hard red residue on his face. Unless Technoblade had somehow raided a restaurant's ketchup supply or an artist's paint cabinet - red paint specifically - Tommy was pretty sure that that was blood.

"Big T?"

"Hm?". Technoblade glanced at Tommy, then at himself. "Ah."

He smirked at him. "Don't worry. It's not mine."

With a thump, he flung a black, soggy shape in front of him as if to prove his point.

And then Tommy realized. It was a bloody body.
