A/N: Super long chapter this update because updates have been slow recently. Hope you people don't find it too tedious to read.

Also gonna give this fanfic a new cover maybe later today or tomorrow. The art is still mine but it's better 'cuz I spent like two weeks on it this time.

[Nezu POV]

Nezu twitched. Calm, he berated himself. He was in control. He had to be...

"Nezu, you got any healthcare?"

He looked up from the body of the hero Shuplicate. It didn't matter too much since that hero wasn't worth much. But that nonchalant expression on the face of the pink-haired beast irked him.

"Does he not have insurance? Is that it?"

Nezu cleared his throat, ignoring Takeshi's previous questions. "Kindly, explain this, Mr. Takeshi."

With a quick glance, he noticed that he quirk cancelling cuffs were no longer around Takeshi's wrists. He had either gotten someone else to remove them for him or broken them himself. He hoped for the former but knew that it was not likely given even his vague knowledge of Takeshi's personality.

"Yeah, he was being quite the nuisance-."

"You do understand that this is murder, correct?"

The blonde-haired brat turned to Takeshi. "Did you really kill him?"

"Well what do you think, Tomi?" Takeshi drawled.

Tomi seemed to ponder for a moment. "You wouldn't...?" His tone went up, as if asking a question.

Takeshi sighed. "Look, Tomi. I don't kill people. You're right about that one, but I got nothing on killing humans, alright?"

A pause.

"Hachi, the adults are talking. You kids go play in the corner or something. Umiko too."

The boy with insect wings nodded, and ushered Tomi towards the dorms. He was whispering something and almost instantly, their pace quickened. Umiko followed them, almost gladly. Nezu let them go - had to.

Hw waited for them to disappear, then prepared to speak when Takeshi interrupted, "You guys too".

He was staring at the two teens in the corner. The one with the glasses, and the one with the fire quirk. Joji and Kaji.

"We're not children", Joji protested.

"But you both act like children and that's even worse."

Ayumu stood at the door, hands in his hoodie pockets, black mask across his face, eyes as piercing as ever. No. They were different. Brighter.

Something had happened.

"Mr. Ayumu", he greeted

"Good to see you, Nezu", Ayumu replied cheerfully, his voice higher by a few pitches - sarcasm. He turned to Kaji and Joji. "Get out. Let the adults talk." A proud laugh emanated from him.

When the two didn't move, he sighed and walked to them. "Out. Come on."

Reluctantly, they began to move.

"We're going to have a talk later, alright?", Kaji growled at him before they left.

Nezu pondered over the last scene. Ayumu was hiding something from at least Kaji and Joji. That much was obvious. What was difficult was 'what'. What was his goal? And Takeshi... If murder was not beyond him, what was? Where did his limits lie?
