Chapter Five : Somebody

"He still isn't answering your calls?" Megan asked Jordyn as she watched Jordyn frown at her phone.

"No," Jordyn answered.

"Are you sure you invited him?" Megan asked her.

"Yes, I did," Jordyn replied.

Today, Jordyn was filming a music video for her orchestral version for her new lead single for her upcoming album.

She thought Joe would have showed up by now but he didn't. Maybe, their fight last night affected him more than she realized.

"He'll show up; he always does," Megan told her.

"I hope so; this song is for him," Jordyn said.

"So, what's the theme for this video?" Megan asked.

"Theatrical yet stripped back visual offering, I'm performing with poise, elegance and power – with an choir and orchestra in the background," Jordyn explained to Megan.

"So, that explains the make up and black gown,"
Megan said.

Jordyn nods.

There's a knock on the dressing room's door.

"Come in," Jordyn called out.

The door opens and it's a set staff letting her know that she can come out now.

Jordyn thanked the staff member before facing the mirror to check on her makeup and hair before getting up and walking to the door with Megan following her.

"I can't wait to hear this song," Megan said.

"You're gonna love it," Jordyn said.

Megan stands off to the side in the back when Jordyn walks on the set that was created for the music video.

Jordyn gets into position and waits for the director's cue to start singing. Since this was the song's orchestral version, Jordyn would be singing live.

The director cues for the orchestra to start playing, while the director shoots different angles of Jordyn before the camera reaches her face.

Then the director gives Jordyn the cue to start singing.

Jordyn breath softly into the mic.

The heart-tugging ballad showed Jordyn's vulnerability.

"Ooh... ooh," Jordyn sings.

Jordyn wraps a hand around the microphone as she stared at the camera.
