Chapter Four \ lanai city

Jordyn wakes up in Joe's bed.

"Oh, so it wasn't a bad dream," Jordyn said to herself.

Joe walked out of his bathroom.

"Good morning," Joe said.

"You couldn't take me home?" Jordyn asked Joe.

"You're an idiot. You shouldn't be drinking," Joe replied.

Jordyn threw a pillow at Joe.

The pillow lands on the end of the bed and Joe shakes his head in disappointment.

"You should have told me you were going out," Joe said.

"Why?" Jordyn asked him.

"Because when you get drunk; you're out of control," Joe answered.

Jordyn start, shifting on the bed before laying back down on the bed.

"I'm going back to sleep," Jordyn said.

Joe rolled his eyes.

"Why are you trying to cause problems between us?" Joe asked Jordyn.

Jordyn closes her eyes.

"We can talk about this later; I need some more beauty sleep," Jordyn replied instead of answering his question.

Joe throws a pillow at Jordyn.

Jordyn snorts as the pillow hits her.

"Whatever, go to sleep but you can't avoid our issues, Jordyn," Joe said.

"Damn it, Joe," Jordyn whispered.

He's lucky Jordyn didn't throw that thick ass picture frame on his nightstand right back at him.

"I wish you would throw that picture frame at me, Jordyn, I would have you folded like a pretzel in this bed," Joe said.

Jordyn gasped.

"What?!" Jordyn said.

"C'mon, Jordyn, I know you," Joe said.

"Whatever," Jordyn muttered as she pulled the covers over her head.

"Oh, and we're doing the Vogue cover," Joe said, before walking out of the bedroom.

"Fuck you and Vogue," Jordyn whispered.

"Fuck you too!" Joe yelled.

Jordyn yelped.

A muscle twitches in his jaw, but his face is totally blank, focused on the television screen.

Jordyn sits back a little, just far enough so that she can look at his face.

Joe makes a soft noise, wrinkling his nose.

Jordyn's fingers twitch.

"Stop staring at me," Joe said.

"I can stare at you all I want, Leati," Jordyn said, using Joe's government name.

Joe chuckled.

"Baby girl, please don't make me fuck you up," Joe said.

Jordyn puffed out her chest.

"Fuck me up, Joey," Jordyn said as she crawled over to Joe and poked him in the cheek.

Joe stared at her for a while longer until he bursts out into laughter.

Jordyn softly gasp.

Joe tucks a hand under her head.

Jordyn cuddles into Joe's side.
