8. "A compass?"

Before Blair could get too far something told her to check back on her friends. From beneath the surface, she noticed their boat going much quicker than usual. And then noticed another boat following them.

Blair immediately swam to the surface and the sound of gunshots filled her ears. Adrenaline coursed through her veins as she hurried through the water towards the boat.

She raced along side the boat and used her powers to turn the water particles surrounding the boats propellers into a jelly like substance, and then quickly hardened it.

The boat came to an abrupt stop. Blair used all of the strength she had to manipulate the water into knocking over the boat. Along with swimming up and using all her force to hit the bottom of it.

Once it was knocked over and the men had fallen into the sea, she looked and saw that her friends had gotten away safely.

She let out a breath of relief before diving back under the water and swimming to a safe place to dry off.

Blair found herself drying off behind some rocks along the shore nearby a few homes that looked nearly empty. She used her powers of heat to dry the moisture on her body.

Once Blair was completely dry she transformed back into her human form. She had no clothes on so she quickly and carefully ran to a clothesline she saw behind a house.

An oversized T-shirt caught her eye, she hoped no one would miss it for too long, as she planned on returning it.

After throwing on the shirt that covered her bare body, Blair ran home as fast as she could.

The Pogues finally made it to the shore.

"What the hell just happened?" JJ yelled as they all got off the boat.

"That was insane. How does a boat just flip over like that?" Pope exclaimed throwing his hands behind his head.

"I have no idea, you alright John B?" Kie asked her friend since he was sitll a little woozy after almost drowning.

"Yeah I think I'm good. Where's Blair?" John B looked up at his friends.

JJ spoke as well "Yeah where is she? She went in after John B and I never saw her again"

"After she helped me get John B back on the boat she was worried he'd need more help so she swam to shore before us" Kie lied for her cousin. Not sure if they'd believe her or not.

The boys shrugged. John B stared into space seeming lost in his thoughts.

Kie suddenly gathered around the bag John B found in the boat. "What do you think it is?" she asked her friends

"Gotta be money, right?" John B said. Shaking his thoughts away.

"That or a couple of keys with street value to the low mind-Mils" JJ said excited

"Can we please just open the bag?" Pope asked frustrated making everyone turn to look at him

"Wow Pope, that's a rare outburst of emotion" John B exclaimed making the rest laugh

"Okay, you guys are killing me with anticipation" Pope said

John B opened the it and inside of they found another bag. Opening the other bag they only found a compass, an old golden compass.

"Yup, that's about right" Pope groaned "Good job everybody, we found a compass" Pope whined, he was still shaken up about what had happened earlier.

John B just stared at the compass thinking.
