me and carl were at the edge of the lake, our feet touching each other then and there. "how's your day been?" carl breaks the silence. "pretty good since i'm with you!" i smile at him. he blushes. "that's wonderful to hear." he smiles back. "when do you think this apocalypse will end?" i ask him. "i'm not sure. but i know we will survive this together, i just know it." he holds onto my hand and looks me in the eyes. "i love you." he adds. "i love you more carl." i miss him on the cheek, he kisses me back.
