I made eye contact with a guy about about 5'10" , with long curly brown hair, and a white wife beater

"Who's Latrelle?" I whispered to Monse

"Our local mini hoodrat" she mumbles

"I know yall got that back to school guap, run them pockets"

"Its orientation day- technically we aren't in nor out of school" Monse states

Before she can finish, Ruby throws his hand over her mouth saying "We don't have any money"

"What about the money we were gonna use for the snacks later-"

Dammit Jamal-

I look to see the boy making a "hand it over" motion with his hands.

I sucked my teeth- this fool has lost his whole ass mind

as i turn to the group, I see Monse, Ruby, and Jamal all taking out the little money they did have in their pockets, handing it over to the curly haired boy.

I shook my head at them- could never be me..

thats until the boy glances over to me

"You too mama, considering you got some drip, i know you got some money too"

"While i appreciate the admiration, you aint getting any money outta me- you can hang that tf up" I scoffed a bit, laughing slightly

"Yo who is this-" He scrunched his face up at me, questioning the rest of the gang

"None of your concern" Monse quickly replied
