Val's POV
I arrived at the dinner table and it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.
I went to take my seat in between Izzy and Tino. The maids served our food and I thanked them. When we started eating dad cleared his throat.
"So Hermosa, how was school?" Dad asked calling me by my second name. He is the only one that can call me by that name
"It was fine" I replied shortly and carried on eating.
"Can you care to explain why you were expelled?" Mom was the one to ask this time and when I looked up everyone was looking at me.
"I set the school lab on fire for the 5th time" I told them
"what about the other felanies?" Mateo was the one to ask
I shrugged"it was just a little damage"
Suddenly someone banged the table an everyone except me flinched.
"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR ATTITUDE. YOU WERE LIVING THE LIFE AT BOARDING SCHOOL WHERE EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED FOR YOU AND YOU REPAY THEM BY SETTING HALF OF THE SCHOOL ON FIRE" Dario shouted"YOU WERE LIVING NICELY WHILE MOM AND DAD WERE EATING THEMSELVES WITH GUILT JUST BECAUSE THEY CARED ABOUT A PERSON LIKE YOU. I DON'T KNOW WH-" He didn't get to finish because I interrupted him by dropping my fork and knife on my plate and I started heaving.
I could hear Tino trying to calm me down because he knows what is to come.
Suddenly something in me snapped and I felt my eyes change completely black
Third person's pov
Everyone was shocked when they saw Val's eyes change black and everything was quiet.
She looked up and locked eyes with Dario
"YOU DON'T KNOW HALF OF THE THINGS I'VE BEEN THROUGH AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THAT I AM JUST A NOBODY AND A SPOILT BRAT. IF YOU KNEW AND SAW THE THING I'VE SEEN OR BEEN THROUGH THE THINGS I'VE BEEN THROUGH THEN YOU WOULDN'T EVEN BE ALIVE. SO DON'T TELL ME ABOUT YOUR BULLSHIT JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE FAMILY ISSUES AND CANNOT CONTROL YOUR ANGER AND YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN TAKE IT OUT ON ME AND I AM NOT GONNA SIT HERE AND LISTEN TO YOU TALK SHIT ABOUT ME AND IF IT WAS UP TO ME I WOULDN'T EVEN BE SITTING ON THE SAME TABLE AS THE FAMILY THAT BETRAYED THEIR DAUGHTER AND LITTLE SISTER AND" She paused and said calmly" I am not going to sit with the people that couldn't protect me from the evil things out there" and with that she stood up and stormed off to her room
Everyone was still shocked about her outburst and Dario has calmed down and was looking at the table.
"Do you know what you have caused?" They were all surprised when Tino said that
He looked at Dario"You have brought back horrible memories that should have been buried and now you have caused my twin sister pain" he stood up and took Izan with him and they walked out of the dining room.
Everyone was looking at each other with the same question in their minds
