We were walking at night through the mall after Steve and Robin had closed up when we got onto the topic of the Russians "Do you really think they're evil?" I ask stopping to tie my shoelaces "I mean most of my life is boring so it would be fun to have a summer adventure but I dunno" Robin says stopping next to me.
"The wording is so weird it's gotta be a code" Dustin says as we continue walking "The week is long the silver cats feeds when blue meets yellow in the west- she trails off "where's Steve?" She asks
"Maybe he got captured by the evil Russians ooo" I say making them both give me 'ɯԋαƚ ƚԋҽ αƈƚυαʅ ϝυƈƙ' look, then we all burst into laughter.
"Quarter, give me a quarter" we all turn to see Steve looking over one of those horse things, me, Robin and Dustin all slowing walk over to him.
"Aww does little Stevie need help getting up?" I say crouching down next to him "Sure your tall enough for that ride?" Robin laughs "Shut up and just give me the damn quarter" Steve snaps "Jeez alright" I say handing him a quarter from my wallet "Thank you".
Steve puts the coin in the horse, when the music starts playing it sounds familiar (𝐢𝐝𝐤 𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐥) "It's sounds like the the- "The music from the tape" Dustin says while I get the tape out of my bag, there the exact same as each other.
"Think they have horses like this in Russia?" Dustin asks "Nope not at all" I say "So that means the Russians are from here" Steve says looking up at all of us "Your brain worked for once Harrington good job" I say high-fiving him.
"I guess that proves your theory I can't believe I'm about to agree with this strange child but yeah totally" Robin smiles "evil Russians" Dustin says laughing.
That night I can't fall asleep, all I can think about are the evil Russians we suspect. 𝘊𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘦? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘥𝘰? 𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰.
Eventually I drift off into a not so peaceful sleep.
I get up early the next morning have a shower to cool me down and get changed. (Outfit)

I was about to go out the front door when "HI!" "Holy fuck Steve it's like so early, you do know that right?" I say rubbing my ears "Yeah.....but I have to work and I thought it would be nice to take you to the mall you know? It's called a kind gesture" "Haha" I say sarcastically "yeah ok, Dustin let's go".
"Ok so what's the plan?" I ask looking at Steve once we're in the car "Me and Dustin will look around the mall for people who look like Russians while you and Robin can stay back and try to crack the code" he says smiling "oh Dustin don't have the binoculars?"
"Sure do" Dustin smiles "Hey! Those are my precious binoculars" I say looking at Dustin "Sorry?" He says even though he's not really that sorry.

When we finally get to the mall I'm the first to jump out of the car and run straight to Scoops ahoy.
"Robin!" I yell finding her in the back room & flinging my arms around her "oh my god you do not want to know how stupid Steve and Dustins plan is" I say as she slowly but surely hugs me back, she was probably taken aback by my action and to be honest so was I.
"What'd does the dingus have planned?" She asks taking her arms away, it was a small but sweet hug "Ok so basically- "We're gonna go look for Russians" Steve says cutting me off seriously what is it with people and cutting ME off "Yeah cause there's gonna be a Russian just walking around a mall in broad daylight" Robin says shaking her head.
I was gonna say something but there was no point "Well glad you think that because it's just gonna be me and Steve while you and y/n stay here to try crack the code" Dustin smiles.
"So I can't speak Russian but I'm good at riddles, does that help?" I say to Robin while she is opening the store, the boys had already left to find 'Russians'. "Yeah I think it could yeah yeah maybe" she says turning to face me.
