we make it home and lucky for us no one is home. jay fell asleep on the way home in my arms so rafe had to carry her inside.
"where do i take he-" he was cut off by jay abruptly waking up.
"no, let me go" she starts crying and trying to escape.
"jay, it's ok it's me, it's rafe, your safe" he says holding her tighter and kissing her head.
i started tearing up, my little sister is now traumatised cause my crazy ex tried to use her as a sex toy. i was sobbing by now wanting to hold my little sister.
"give her to me" i say pulling rafes shirt back.
"but y/n you need to be careful" he says looking at me with nothing but sorry in his eyes.
"rafe, i need to hold my little sister" i say looking him dead in the eyes.
he just nods and hands her to me, she immediately latches to me and hides her face in my neck.
"we're gonna go to my room, watch movies, i have news i wanna tell you as well. ok, your safe, rafe is gonna stay with us the whole time" i whisper into her ear as i walk upstairs and towards my room.
"ok" she quietly says into my neck.
we make in to my room and i lay her down, i quickly take off my shoes and go lay with her while rafe does the same. we all lay in bed and watch alvin and the chipmunks.
"what is the news" she asks as she looks up at me from my chest.
"rafe pause this, you need to promise not to tell anyone yet" i say sitting up with her.
"ok, i promise" she says looking at me.
"well first i'll start with me and rafe are dating" i say smiling and holding rafes hand.
"finally" she says making me chuckle. "what's the other news, you said you'll start with that" she says looking deeply at me and rafe.
"say hi to the soon to be newest member of the family" i say placing my hand on my stomach.
"oh.my.god. no way" she squeals in excitement.
"yeah, we found out yesterday" rafe says rubbing my stomach.
"i can't wait to meet you little dude" jay says smiling widely.
"we are thinking about telling everyone tomorrow, cause i need to change my midsummers dress" i say as we all lay back down.
"good idea, also do you know what song your singing this year" she asks looking at me.
every year it is tradition that i sing a few songs for the guest, and every year i have to think about what song i'm singing for the opening.
"yeah actually, but rose wants it a surprise for everyone, including herself" i say going back to stroking her hair.
"that sound like rose" rafe says making jay giggle.
jays eyes slowing start to get heavy so i decide to cuddle into her more so we can go to sleep. she eventually falls asleep after trying to fight it for awhile.
"i'm going to the store, do you wanna come and we'll just bring her or do yous wanna stay here" i say slowly switching her from my chest to rafes.
"i'll stay here with her, maybe you should get her some of her favourite things" he says stroking her hair and wrapping his arms around her small frame tightly.
"yeah i will, you want anything" i ask putting some sweatpants on and black converse high tops on but kept the same shirt.

(also i like putting what you are wearing and that in every chapter cause i feel like it really makes you feel more there, like in the story)
"nah just get her stuff and whatever else you get" he says as i grab my keys, vape, wallet and phone.
"ok, i'll be back i love you" i say kissing his lips and kissing jays head.
"i love you too, be quick and stay safe" he tells me before i leave.
𝑟𝑎𝑓𝑒𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑣
y/n went to the store to get a few things and i stayed home with jay sleeping in my arms. i felt bad for her, it was clear as day about how traumatised she is by the way she freaked out when i was carrying her inside.
alvin and the chipmunks finished so i put sponge bob on. me and y/n love sponge bob and we're so glad all the episodes are on netflix.
after a few episodes i noticed jay started whining like she was about to cry before she started screaming for someone to stop. she was having a nightmare.
"hey jay, it's ok, wake up" i say shaking her lightly.
"no please let g- OW" she yells while sobbing.
"jay, wake up" i say shaking a little more.
"MY LEGS, THEIR BROKEN" she screams.
"jay come on, i've got you, wake up" i say shaking her a lot now. eventually she wakes up sweating.
"rafe, topper got me and broke both my legs and did stuff" she says clinging me me tighter as she sobs.
"it's ok, no one's gonna hurt you" i say rubbing her back.
"where's y/n, i need y/n" she says looking around. she is only thirteen and y/n takes heaps of care of her so it's kind of expected she needs her older sister.
"it's ok, she went to the store she'll be back" i say rubbing her cheek. after some year i've learnt how to calm her.
"rafe, what topper get her" she sobs looking at me. her and y/n are the same when it comes to stuff like this, but y/n had it worse.
"listen nothing will happen, now let's put our hands up here and count to ten" i say making her copy me.
we put our hands on our heads to open up our lungs and take ten deep breaths together.
"you did so good, do you feel better now" i ask hugging her.
"a lot, whens y/n gonna be back" she ask laying back down.
"pretty soon she left like twenty minutes ago" i say laying down and pressing play again.
eventually jay falls back to sleep and i fall asleep too, but before i did i turned the tv off and covered jay with the blanket.
