Ruin Our Friendship (Lokius)

Loki and Mobius are roommates in this AU.

They've been roommates for almost a year and Loki developed a crush on Mobius. Loki hates that he has a thing for Mobius and wishes it would go away. He just knows Mobius doesn't like him back in a romantic way and it breaks his heart. 

Loki told Sylvie about his crush since she's the only person he feels comfortable telling. Sylvie keeps telling Loki to tell Mobius but Loki says no because he doesn't want to ruin his friendship with Mobius.

One evening, Loki is in bed and he's listening to a song on repeat. He grabs a notebook from his nightstand and he tears a piece of paper out. He grabs a pen and he writes down:

" Mobius darling, you're my best friend

But there's one thing you don't know

Why I borrow your cologne so often

I'm using your shirt as my pillowcase

I wanna ruin our friendship, Mobius

We should be lovers instead

Mobius I don't know how to say this

Cause' you're really my dearest friend

Mobius darling, you're my best friend

I've been doing bad things that you don't know about

Stealing your stuff now and then

Nothing you'd miss, but it means the world to me".

Loki's hand was shaking and he dropped the pen on the bed. Tears were falling down his face. He quickly wiped the tears away and crumpled up the paper he had just written on and threw it across the room. He turned the light off and got into bed. He was feeling so depressed. He couldn't stop thinking about how Mobius would never be with him. He quietly cried himself to sleep. 

When he woke up it was 9 am. He could hear Mobius making noise but didn't want to get out of bed. He heard a knock on his door and pretended to be asleep. Mobius knocked a few more times but after not getting a response he decided to stop knocking. Once Mobius left that's when Loki came out. He was still feeling sad from last night but brushed it off and put a happy face on. 

He turned his phone on and saw a message Mobius left him.

Mobius: I'll be home in a few hours. I'm going to Tony's to help him with something.

Loki didn't respond back. 

He texted Thor if he was free today and lucky enough Thor was free. Loki decided he would spend the entire day with his brother and left.

Mobius returned home a few hours later and Loki wasn't home. He didn't want to bother Loki by asking him where he was. 

Mobius did stop by a bookstore on his way home and found a perfect book for Loki. He wrapped the book up in blue wrapping paper. He grabbed a card and put To and From on there. He put the card in the envelope and sealed it.

He went to Loki's room and placed the present and card on Loki's bed. As he was walking out he stepped on something. It was a crumpled piece of paper. Mobius picked it up and uncrumpled and read it. Once he was done reading it, he couldn't believe what he just read. He was in shock. Loki wants to ruin their friendship... Mobius wants to ruin their friendship also. 

He folded the paper and put it in his pocket. He went to his bedroom and laid down on his bed. He looked at the ceiling and couldn't stop smiling. He pulled the paper out of his pocket and reread it several more times.

"Loki, I wanna ruin our friendship too", he quietly said. 

Mobius couldn't wait for Loki to return home. He wanted to tell Loki how he felt about him.

It was already midnight and Loki still hasn't returned home. Mobius decided he would go to bed since he couldn't stay up any longer.

Loki returned home at 2 in the morning. He went to his bedroom and saw a present, on his bed. He opened the card and smiled hugely. He couldn't believe Mobius got him a present. He opened the present and smiled even more. 

Mobius got Loki the book called YOU by Caroline Kepnes. Ever since Loki finished watching the series a week ago, he's been wanting to get the book and he even told Mobius about how he was going to read the book. Loki couldn't stop smiling. He opened the book and read a couple of chapters before going to sleep. 

Mobius woke up and it was 9 am. He took a shower and went over to the couch and turned on the TV. Mobius kept thinking about how he was going to tell Loki that he liked him too. 

 Loki came out of his room an hour later. He saw Mobius on the couch.

"Good Morning Mobius", Loki said, smiling so brightly.

Mobius returned the smile and said"Good Morning".

"Mobius thank you so much for the book. I read a couple of chapters last night".

Hearing that made Mobius smile even more. " I'm glad you liked it".

Loki smiled and nodded. He could feel his face begin to redden. He looked down at the floor and asked:", what are you watching?" After he asked that, he looked back up.

"I'm just watching unsolved mysteries", he answered.

"Mobius, why are you watching sad documentaries at 11 in the morning?"

"Because they're entertaining."

Loki just smiled and shook his head playfully.

Loki decided he would hang out with Mobius this morning. Loki sat on the couch next to Mobius. "You need to catch me up on what's happening".

Mobius told Loki about what happened in the documentary. They watched a few more unsolved mysteries episodes.

After the last episode ended. Mobius turned the TV off and turned to Loki.

"Loki um...".

"What?", Loki asked with confusion.

"I... uh found a crumpled piece of paper on your floor and-". 

Just then Loki cut Mobius off and quickly said"Oh God! Please tell me you didn't read it and threw it away!"

"I actually read... uh it multiple times", Mobius answered.

"I...uhh....", Loki stuttered. He didn't know what to say.

"Loki Laufeyson I want to ruin our friendship", Mobius said as he looked into Loki's eyes.

"Me- too", Loki quietly responded. Loki looked into Mobius' eyes.

They both started to lean in. Mobius put his hands on Loki's face and kissed him passionately. Loki quickly kissed back. 

After almost 30 seconds they pulled apart and they were both smiling hugely at each other. 

"I love you, Loki Laufeyson".

Loki smiled even more and his face turned red. "I love you too", he replied.

Mobius pulls him back into a kiss. 

"What happened to the crumpled paper you found", Loki asked as he pulled away.

"It's in my pocket. I'm going to have it framed", Mobius grinned.

"Please don't frame it".

"I'm doing it and you can't stop me".

"Fine but you can only keep it in the bedroom".

Mobius laughed and said"Deal". 

Mobius and Loki went back to kissing each other.
