Thanksgiving Road Trip (Rick/Daryl)

Rick and Daryl packed their bags in the car and headed of to Rick's parents house to spend Thanksgiving.

Rick' s parents lived 3 hours away which meant it was going to be a road trip. They decided to leave a day early so that they could settle in. Rick drove so that Daryl could rest up.

Rick took out a CD and put it in the CD player of the car.

" Don't. Please don't",Daryl said.

The Hamster Dance song started playing and Daryl looked at Rick who was smiling, dancing and snapping his fingers to the beat of the song. Daryl rolled his eyes and turned away.
Daryl grunted and shifted in his seat. He put his feet up against the dashboard of the car.

" Dee Dee doo doo doo,
Dee da dee doo doo,
Dee Dee doo doo dee da dee doo doo", Rick sang loudly as he continued dancing.

" Oh my God. Please Rick turn this shit off", Daryl said in annoyance.

" No I love this song".

"Ugh".

Daryl moved his hand to where the CD Player was and was about to press the eject button when Rick slapped his hand.

" Daryl stop! Let me finish my song for Christ sakes!", Rick yelled.

" Oh my God. This song is the most annoying song ever", Daryl complained.

" The more you complain. The more I'm gonna listen to it", Rick informed.

"Ugh, fuck,"he grunted.

Daryl looked away from Rick and looked outside the window.

Rick didn't understand why Daryl always got so upset so easily. All he wanted to do was listen to his song. Rick decided not to finish his song and turned it off.

"Daryl look I know you don't like the song but I like it because it makes me happy. If you wanna listen to something now you can",Rick said as he turned his attention to the road.

"I'm sorry", Daryl apologized.

" Your forgiven", Rick told him.

" Uh. Thanks Rick".

They didn't say much for awhile until Daryl broke the silence and asked"Rick can we stop by the gas station so I can get some candy?"
Daryl loved candy. He could eat it all day if he could.

" Yeah, we can", answered Rick.

Rick stopped at the nearest gas station. Rick decided to fill up the car while he was at it so he didn't have to do it later.

Daryl went into the store and went straight to the candy section. He grabbed a Snickers, a Almond Hershey candy bar, and lastly he grabbed a orange crush soda. He then headed back to the car, and by that time Rick was already done filling up the car. They both got back into the car and continued on there trip.
Daryl unwrapped his snickers bar and broke it in half. He handed Rick half of the candy bar, Rick gracefully took it and shoved the whole thing into his mouth.

Daryl opened the soda next.

" Want some?", Daryl asked handing the soda to Rick.

" Yeah sure", Rick said as he took the soda from Daryl and took a few sips before handing it back.

" Rick are you still mad at me?", Daryl asked since he wasn't sure.

Rick sighed before answering Daryl back. " No I'm not babe".

Oh... It's just that y---", Daryl said as Rick interrupted him and said" Daryl stop. What happened happened. It's in the past now and we both need to move on".

" Yeah your right. I'm sorry that im such an asshole", Daryl apologized.

" Hmm... like I said before your forgiven. Alright let's change the subject now".

" Rick... put your song back on. I want you to be happy and if that weird ass song makes you happy. Then I'm happy that your happy".

Rick began smiling and said" Thanks Daryl. I love you".

" I love ya too, Rick",Daryl smiled.

"One more hour and we will be there. Time to put the hamster song on repeat".

" Oh god, please don't Rick. I'll have a heart attack before we even make it to your parents".

" Oh shut up", Rick laughed.

Rick looked over at Daryl who was dying of laughter so much that he was holding unto his stomach.

"Daryl you okay there", Rick grinned.

" Yeah. Oh my gosh. You almost gave me a heart attack",Daryl said out of breath.

" I doubt that sexy", Rick said with a wink.

" So my name is sexy now?", Daryl asked.

" Yes. It's Daryl is the sexiest man alive. So fucking hot and I'm glad you

Daryl smirked. " Oh stop it Rick", Daryl said as he slightly shoved Rick in the shoulder.

Rick chuckled. " God what would I do without you beautiful".

" You would be lonely and would take your frustrations out on your co-workers, the people close to you".

" Actually, that's so true. I'm so glad I found you", Rick said smiling.

"Me too".

Rick pulled up into a Water burger parking lot and turned to Daryl. He unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the drivers seat. He climbed over to Daryl and sat down on his lap, facing him. They both looked at each other and grinned. They both leaned in and started kissing each other. Daryl pulled on Rick's curly hair as he kissed him hard with so much passion. Rick opened his mouth allowing Daryl to enter and the kiss became quickly heated.

Just then there was a knock on the car window, both Rick and Daryl quickly pulled away from each other and looked at the person who knocked on the car window.

" Sir, you can't do that here. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave", the waterburger manager informed.

" Sorry", Rick apologized.

The manager nodded and left.

Both Rick and Daryl looked at each other and started laughing uncontrollably.
